Voices Carry for Animals # 41

    in Current Events

    Hosted by Debbie Dahmer

Guest will be : Mikael Nielsen  Serves as national volunteer coordinator for Mercy For Animals, recruiting and training activists throughout the United States.

     Mercy for Animals

    The Plight of Farmed Animals

Over 95% of the cruelty to animals in the United States occurs at the hands of the meat, dairy, and egg industries which confine, mutilate, and slaughter over 9 billion land animals each year.

Despite the fact that these are the most abused animals in the United States, they actually have the fewest number of advocates. That is why it is so important that we stand up and become a voice for the most defenseless.

    Published on Mar 14, 2015

A new Mercy For Animals undercover investigation into a poultry supplier to Gordon Food Service—the largest private foodservice distributor in North America—has exposed horrific cruelty to animals, including baby birds violently slammed into metal shackles before being painfully shocked with electricity and having their throats cut open while still conscious and able to feel pain. CARL CREW: FROM PLAYING DAHMER TO NOHO NIGHTCLUB RINGMASTER OF ABNORMAL ARTS

    in Entertainment

CARL CREW is an American actor, screenwriter, author, artist and co-proprietor of the North Hollywood nightclub California Institute of Abnormal Arts. He has been called "the P.T. Barnum of Burbank Boulevard" by the LA Times, and in annual press polls by LA Weekly & other journalists his CIA club is consistently voted the most popular and unique nightclub in LA. His chilling & nuanced performance as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the controversial film Jeffrey Dahmer: The Secret Life was critically acclaimed.

Carl grew up in the theater. At 18, he turned his talents to another kind of show and became a mortician. His club contains many freak show attractions. A stuffed Pighuahua, half pig, half Chihuahua. A two-headed baby in a jar. A haunted painting which was stolen on Halloween. And the remarkable mummified Alligator Boy, which Carl, as a mortician, swears is not a fake. Its the mystery of the sideshow, says Carl. The mystery of deformed people. We want to stare. We want to know what makes them different. These pickled and petrified oddities, in the entrance, the bar, the outdoor garden, are but an overture to the unique performances held on the main stage that draw celebrities & curious seekers to the iconic venue. Come one, come all, come just as you are.

Unarmed black male but not innocent killed by police

    in Politics Conservative

We have another case in the news of a black man being killed by the police.  This has brought out activists, race pimps, students, pastors, and just about everybody else for Freddie Gray.  One thing the media won't touch is the fact Freddie Gray and many of the other black men had long history of criminal activities.  They were already headed down the road to be dead by their actions.  Why am I suppose to be marching for them when you can say with almost certainty they have participated in activities that has lead to injury and death of other black men? The problem is we have everybody marching after these black men are killed but nobody stepping in before these clowns start their criminal careers. These hoodlums are the reasons other hoodlums are tearing up their neighborhood and innocent people are suffering from the loss of property and amenities.  Now it is the problem that the National Guard and a heavier police presence is required to restore law and order.  Tell me why are we blinking an eye at this foolishness. Now the State's Attorney has decided to file charges against the six police officers for the death of Freddie Gray
