John Carver Show - Sounds of September 11, 2001

    in Self Help

September 11, 2001 changed our lives forever.  I found a YouTube video, which I edited, that shares a few minutes of the sounds of September 11, 2001.  I was training a new employee in downtown Baltimore Maryland when my parents called me with the horrible news.  The purpose of this show is to remind all of us what happened on that horrible day and the people who still want to kill Americans haven't stopped...

NFL Week 5: Batting Around Some Controversy; Great Coaching; Horrible Kickers

    in Football

We heading to week 5 of the NFL season.  And of course, the season has had no controversy.

We will bat around the latest.

We'll talk about some horrible kicking.  And we’re not talking just extra points – but field goals.

We will run down this week's big games. And we'll check out your fantasy.

Joining me – as always -- is Eric Snyder, our NFL expert.  He is the author of a book on the Raiders and Raider Nation.  You can also hear him on the Power Hour on Fox Sports Radio 1340 in Vegas.

    Hello Boychick,

    Two big take-aways:

First the controversial call.  The officials blew it on the field.  Instant replay needs to be changed.  And players need to know the rules.  When I saw the ball pushed out, I thought wait where is Dave Caspar?

There were some other controversial calls.  I thought the fumble by Travis Kelcie was a weird call.  Do we allow for instant replay during the whole game and take it out of the hands of the coaches?

Second big take-away from last week was the fabulous coaching. I look at Jeff Fisher who turned around the Rams to beat the Cardinals. I look at what Chuck Pagano did to get the Colts in the win column without Andrew Luck.  I look at Tom Coughlin who has the Giants back on track.  Or is this league just so competitive that each week it's a difficult to put two wins back to back?

Third take-away: horrible kicking.  Josh Scobee has already been released by the Steelers.  One article said Scobee had made fun of Tiger’s chipping yips and karma came back to get him.  But is it the new extra point rule causing Field Golf problems?

There were some other controversial calls.  I thought the fumble by Travis Kelcie was a weird call.

Episode 386: Sexual sins and the evils they bring on a society!

    in Politics Conservative

Sexual sins and the evils they bring on a society! Salon.com has a couple of articles about pedophiles that I will share with you on today's show. All sex outside of marriage is sin, and needs to be condemned, especially the sin of pedophilia. For a man or a woman to claim they are born that way and have a right to practice pedophilia is a direct result of people claiming they were born LBGT and have a right to practice sin also, and force us to accept their behavior.

“Public virtue,” wrote John Adams, “cannot exist in a nation without private [virtue], and public virtue is the only foundation of republics” (John Adams to Mercy Warren, April 16, 1776).

Our vision and Faith is the same as Father and the Son (It Is A Mystery)

    in The Bible

What the mystery is according to The Apostle Paul in the book of Ephesians

    Mark 4:11

11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

Ephesians 3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Ephesians 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Ephesians 3:9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Ephesians 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Ephesians 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
