Fear. Depression. Anxiety. Thoughts of suicide. These are some of the emotions gleaned from closeted gay and lesbian coaches Outsports talked to during the men's Final Four in Indianapolis. Despite the progress society has made on gay issues, these coaches feel that their careers would be over if they ever came out publicly. So they hide or contemplate quitting the sport they love. One female coach said she knows of 50 closeted lesbian coaches. There are no openly gay male or female Division I coaches in the U.S.
The podcast also interviews writer Erik Hall, who has profiled several openly gay athletes, his latest being a college cross country runner.

Life is filled with destabilizing forces and this can be seen in our newspaper headlines, and it continues down to health worries, family concerns, financial troubles, layoffs, spending a dime while earning a nickel, conflicts at work, family concerns, and the list goes on and on.
If we could face the truth we would admit we sometimes tend to doubt our current situation in life and get worried that our lives will never be the way we dreamt it will be.
For many of our young adults this is especially true.
They graduate form school, then the choice is either to join the working force or go to college
Nowhere here seems to be hiring and college is out of reach for many.
So really how do we survive this??
For me it all boils down to knowing who you are, and knowing your character strengths.
Without a center in your life, those pressures are bound to beat you to the ground.
Join me Janice Clarke, Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Nutritional Consultant, Reiki Practitioner, and Host of THE SOULFUL HEALING TALK SHOW, to discuss what it takes to survive this crazy crazy world, and finding our center, and to figure out what our strengths are, and most importantly HOROING OUR STORIES THAT HAS SHAPED OUR LIVES AND STRENGTHENED OUR CHARACTERS….
Please call and share YOUR soulful healing stories which will send healing love and light all over the air waves!!!
OUR ME TIME WILL BE HEALING TIME THIS WEEK!!
I will discuss how to diffuse anger and the more spiritual you get it will become easier. We often take anger out on our loved ones. We have different faces at work, at college and at home.
I will also discuss if your partner gets angered quickly and how you can deal with it.
I will take psychic questions as well.
Love and Light,
Derrick Worsley grew up with a father in the Army, which acclimated him somewhat to the military lifestyle as a child. However, it was never consciously engrained that he would follow in his father’s footsteps, nor did he have an understanding of the sacrifices involved in participating in the military. When his attempts at college proved unfruitful, he found that he felt a calling to join in his father’s legacy and so enlisted in the army.
While in the army, Worsley served tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other foreign countries. It was there that he had to adapt to a variety of cultures. Worsley describes his Army experience as making him “whole” in a way that made him more mature, grounded, and responsible. It was in fact his leaders within the Army that inspired him to continue his education to what eventually constituted a Masters degree. That education was applied to entrepreneurship, which took the form of an online company, DCdiscountOutlet.com, LLC.
As an actor he is a host of DIY Network’s “I Want That” and a recurring role on ABC’s “Nashville.” Tyler Perry’s studio brought him in for “The Have and Havenots” and he’s also done a variety of commercial work with many other projects in the pipeline. Currently, he’s working behind the scenes on Plus Size Diva’s the Musical and Movie and will also portray the character of an arrogant businessman George Lamiry.
One of the best big men in the class of 2015, Stephen Zimmerman, is headed to UNLV. He chose the Rebels over Kentucky, Arizona and others. Mike Grimala of RunRebs.com and Tyler Bischoff break down what it means for the Rebels. Can Zimmerman bring more to the team than Chris Wood did last season? Is there too much hype in a freshman? Plus, how Dave Rice's biggest strength is used against him.
