Safety is a must for football players, and knowledge is just as powerful. Join us tonight as we grow and learn, with Dr. Anthony Kontos. Let's go!
My guest for 07/23/14 is Jake Ducey.
In college on a basketball scholarship and headed for a sports career, at 19 Jake Ducey, a kid from a good Southern California family, seemed to have it all. But he didn’t. Jake felt something was missing so he decided to leave it all behind and use his savings to travel the world. What he ended up finding was that what he was looking for was inside him all the time, that our destiny is reached only if we look inside of ourselves first.
Upon returning from his spiritual adventure, Jake raised the funds to build a school and home in San Marcos, near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, to support orphans who are taken care of by a Quiché Maya Shaman.
Now 23 years old, Jake is the author of a book titled Into the Wind, speaks throughout the country on consciously and responsibly creating our lives, and has written a new book, The Purpose Principles, which will be available in early 2015.
You can can connect with Jake online at www.jakeducey.com

I will be discussing and analyzing Tony Dungy's comments concerning Michael Sam. He said he wouldn't have drafted Sam basically because of the distraction of having an openly gay player in the locker room. He also does not think the St. Louis Rams are ready for that media storm for employing a gay player. Chris Loupe and The Yard/HBCU Sports' Duane Nash will join me in discussing Dungy's thinking in making those comments. Does Dungy have a point or was he merely being homophobic?
Danny Walker's team has the GoPro Daytona Sportbike point lead by a scant 7 points over Motosports.com rider Jake Lewis. This is one of the most competitive classes anywhere. We will discuss his strategy coming in to the final AMA Pro Road Race at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
