Is Andy Dalton's six-year, $115 million deal as insane as it sounds? What does it mean for Jake Locker? If Locker leads the Titans to the playoffs, (even if it's a Wildcard spot) will he be in line for the same type of deal? I'll break down Dalton's contract and compare what it could mean for Locker's future when it comes to money. Also, what does Locker have to do to earn a deal like the one Dalton just received?
After both Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst have started roughly out of the gates so far this season, rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger was named the starter this coming week against the Houston Texans. Locker may not be 100 percent, but if he's close, isn't he the better option than Mettenberger to this point?
With Mettenberger set to make his first career start, what should we take from this upcoming game against the Texans? If he thrives, should the Titans give him the keys to the organization? Or, should he be evaluated fairly after starting the rest of this season, if that's the intent from here on out?
With the 2014-15 regular season just about set for kickoff, I'll give my predictions for every team's record. I'll go through the Titans' schedule more in-depth, and what record it will take to reach the postseason. If Jake Locker stays healthy and the defense can adapt to the 3-4 scheme well, the playoffs aren't as much of a long-shot as the average person might think. Can 9-7 be good enough in a weaker AFC, or will every playoff team need to get to 10 wins?
Sports talk and discussion with an attitude for the passionate and hard core fan. Today we will have our Tennessee Titans and Vols correspondent Sharon Fabulosa as our guest to break down both her beloved NFL and college football team. Find out how Jake Locker is looking so far under new head coach Ken Whisenhunt and if the expectations surrounding rookie RB Bishop Sankey look like they will be met if not exceeded. On the college front, we'll investigate how the Vols look in Coach Jones second campaign and how things stack up for the opener against Utah State.
In a game that I think could have huge playoff implications, the Titans' defense stepped up in a major way along with the signing of kicker Ryan Succop. Jason McCourty was the one cornerback I had no questions about coming into the season, and he made my feelings justified with his play today. McCourty had two interceptions on the day as well as a hit that caused a third thrown by Alex Smith. Jake Locker also had a solid day in general outside of taking a few more sacks than I'd like to see. I'll break down the game with the Red Light Sports Network's Chiefs show host, Ben Holzhueter.
Tonight's episode I will recap the Titans-Falcons third preseason game. For the Titans, how did Jake Locker look? Rumblings around training camp have been positive to this point. Did Bishop Sankey do anything to gain some ground on the starting running back spot? How many touchdowns did Justin Hunter score this time?
On defense, will tackling continue to be an issue? Regarding the No. 2 cornerback spot, did Coty Sensabaugh or Blidi Wreh-Wilson step up and impress? I also heard that Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt went off on the team about the start of the game. Was it warranted?
This is our first show regarding the Tennessee Titans, which I can't wait to get started. I'll give a quick bio of who I am, then get right into what should be expected from a team who made a number of changes overall - especially involving coaches. Do the Titans have a shot at making the playoffs this upcoming season? Or do they have a better chance at picking in the top five like some "experts" are suggesting? What can be expected of Jake Locker?
