    AUGUST FIRE~

Sparks fly… The day that Stephanie and Doyle meet, circumstances fight against romance. She thinks him rude, crude, and bossy and while he loves her long legs, he thinks she seems snobbish and cold. However, he feels she has interesting possibilities and she thinks he is a sexy hunk. Danger unites… Surviving the arsonist set rangeland fire together ignites the passions each has been ignoring. The rugged high desert and mountains of Colorado set the scene for adventure, danger and fiery passions. Can they stay ahead of the arsonist and develop a solid relationship in the bright light of day? Trust… Growing trust in the face of adversity, just how strong is this new relationship. Can each of them get beyond past betrayals and pain? Will the final chapter be a wedding, or a fond farewell? Riverview is home to Stephanie and now to Doyle. The small Colorado town and its citizens reflect small ranch towns across the United States. The values and closeness of the residents who support each other when times are tough.

Suspense, crime fiction author Earl Javorsky (Dan Howard) LIVE on Authors

    in Books

“Earl Javorsky's bold and unusual DOWN SOLO blends the mysterious and the supernatural boldly and successfully. The novel is strong and haunting, a wonderful debut.”  – T. Jefferson Parker, New York Times bestselling author of FULL MEASURE and THE FAMOUS AND THE DEAD.

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes suspense and crime fiction writer Earl Javorsky (also known as Dan Howard).  I have to agree with Jeff Parker and say that Dan's books are powerfully intense and immeasurably enjoyable. Here is a little more about "Earl" (and he promises to explain the pen name). " I was born in Berlin and emigrated to the US when I was two. My father had been an aerial photographer under Rommel in North Africa and worked as a cinematographer in NYC. My mother remarried when I was five and we were off to Hollywood, where my step-father had a contract with Paramount. Oddly, he had been a lieutenant in the US Navy off the coast of Italy.   I was a weird kid and made the appropriate adjustments.  After a long stint trying to make it as a musician in LA and clawing my way up to mid-level management in the chemical entertainment industry (just about killed me), I went back to my first love: writing. I had the good fortune to run into Lou Aronica, my editor at The Story Plant. I work as a proofreader/edito"r (www.theproofreader.org).

    in Music

Wherever you see these ladies, you will NOT see grass because there is no time for grass to grow beneath them! The author of The John Lennon Series, Jude Southerland Kessler, and Dr. Kit O'Toole, the seasoned author of the new smash hit Songs We Were Singing: Guided Tours Through The Beatles' Lesser-Known Tracks, will be on the show to discuss their works. The dynamic duo has created a delicious persona, "The Kit-n-Kaboodle Show," where they record radio shows or present live programs about in-depth Beatles songs and issues. The authors will not only give individual presentations at the upcoming Beatles at the Ridge Festival in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, September 18-19, they will also give a live performance of "The Kit-n-Kaboodle Show!"

As she leaves his office he hands her a letter from her mother and a key to a secret storage space. When she opens the storage space she finds furniture, suitcases, and dresses all belonging to the legendary Marilyn Monroe.

Buying a new home with her new found wealth she furnishes it with the items from the storage space. But what happens next is nothing short of a miracle - or a nightmare. Mary finds herself blacking out and when she awakes she has a new hairstyle, clothes, and most intriguing and frightening of all...letters written to her by Marilyn Monroe. Jimmy Grant and Sean Miskimins Authors of Deprived: The Lost 1982 NFL Season

    in Sports

                                                                     realsportsguys.com

The Real Sports Guys interview Jimmy Grant and Sean Miskimins the authors of Deprived: The Lost 1982 NFL Season:

In 1982 the NFL season was halted for 57 days by a players strike. Although an abbreviated season was eventually completed, the fans were cheated out of a full schedule, great matchups, and a true post-season. Go back in time as we use statistical analysis, humor, and the musings of two young adolescents to replay the 1982 season. Through the eyes of youth, their relationships with family, and their boyhood "idols" we revisit the 1982 season that we were all deprived of.

In addition to learning about the purpose behind writing this book, these former Division III student-athletes will talk about a new NFL Quarterback Rating  System they developed!

It’s on! The football season is here and the RSG fellas are ready to go! What's going on in Waco?! USC in the news again?!  Illinois big news days before the start of the season?! Wow! Ready Break!
