Tune in to this week's Who We Got Wednesday w/ James Madison University's Assistant Basketball Coach Bill Phillips as we go over the vital necessity to have a passion for something greater.
Join professional musican Earl and professional painter Hannah Tiffin in a discussion for small business and business of passion owners (BOP'S) which looks at what day to day business is verses what we thought it would be. It can be really easy to be excited about our BOP's when we get started, but much like any relationship it can go stale if we do not keep a positive attitude. So, how do we keep a positive attitude when everything around us seems to be a struggle or is moving too fast to keep up with?
Tune in Wednesday to hear some stories about how the music and art business can become not so fun and some of the ways we continue to reinvest in our business when we feel financially, emotionally and spiritually drained from working our fannies off!
Hello family, friends, and fans!
After some time away from my show, I'm finally coming back! As usual, you don't want to miss this episode. Still ironing out the details, but as always, it's always full of laughter, real talk, emotion, sometimes tears, lots of love, passion, with my personality rolled in. I appreciate everyone's extreme patience waiting for this episode and my comeback. Your patient and continued support has been nothing but amazing. You all hold a special place in my heart. So... this Wednesday... join me at 9 PM (the usual time) while I get into comfy clothes, pour myself a glass of wine and sit on the couch to talk to you all about the past three months.

Guest speaker, Carla Towns is a twenty-one year old independent author, poet, and business-minded Entrepreneur.
Writing since the tender age of seven, her work is mostly based on her experiences in life, and how she dealt the loss of her mother as a young girl, and afterwards changing living arrangements several times. From ages sixteen through eighteen she was in foster care which she says was one of the single hardest battles she’s had to overcome - even now that she lives on her own.
Carla was diagnosed with Infantile Cerebral Palsy after her mother gave birth to her, due to three strokes which led up to her brain Injury. Doctors said that Carla would not be able to talk, hear, speak or breathe on her own. They were wrong! She can do all but one of those things and doesn’t see it as a roadblock.
Because of the Cerebral Palsy she is wheelchair bound; but she refuses to be held back. Carla wakes up with a smile, with dignity and a plan to reach out to other individuals overcoming their individual challenges –whether they be able bodied or in wheelchairs. She has a passion for life and fights toward equality for everyone.
On May 2011, Carla was aired on her local news where she spoke to a crowd of individuals with developmental disabilities. She both encouraged and inspired the crowd. She was quoted saying “Just because [we] don’t look the same doesn’t mean we don’t have the same heart.” Carla says that she will keep writing and continue to inspire others.
Kevin Stewart Jr. Contemporary Gospel artist and songwriter
Hard Work, Love, and Sacrifice
With always having a desirable passion to be an independent artist, Kevin Stewart Jr. has put a lot of hard work in serving other artists and ministries a like. While sacrificing his time to support others musically, he’s now ready to venture out and stand on his own. With the release of his first single, Yes dropping July 23, the platform has provided itself for him to be heard.
Kevin developed his unique style from a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family, serving in his church’s music ministry, and attending a performing arts school, all kept him surrounded by different forms of music. This is where his musical tastes and interests became known which opened the door to various music opportunities shaping his craft as a creative vocalist.
He was granted the opportunity to become a mentee to Dorinda Clark Cole. He also assisted with background vocals for a plethora of well renowned gospel artists such as LeAndria Johnson, Karen Clark Sheard, and Ernest Pugh. With much exposure from these experiences, Kevin became compelled to start working on his first single that would be released to the public.
His highly anticipated single, Yes, from Kevin was released July 23, 2013 and now Kevin has available for the first time an Ep. called Yes that was released August 5, 2014.
Kevin’s motivation behind the music is to empower and to bring a sense of hope to a nation that is facing adversity daily.
