We take a "mid week" (aka late week) look back at the best homestand in Mets history, the record tying 11 game winning streak, and look ahead to the weekend series in the Bronx with our good friend Matthew Cerrrone from Metsblog.
On this episode of the Yanks Go Yard Series Preview Show, brought to you by KNODA.com, host and senior staff writer Ricky Keeler recaps the Yankees taking two out of three from the Tampa Bay Rays and their 4-2 homestand. Plus, Ricky will react to the news that came out Tuesday night about Masahiro Tanaka being placed on the 15-day disabled list with wrist tendinitis and a forearm strain. Should New York make a big trade for a Cole Hamels or stick with their internal options for now?
Then, Drew Peabody from BoSox Injection joins the show to preview this weekend's series at Fenway Park between the Yankees and Red Sox as Alex Rodriguez is still looking for home run number 660. They will look back at the first Yankees-Red Sox series, discuss Boston's rotation issues, and look at the great start by Hanley Ramirez, who has 10 home runs on the season.

The Pistons play the second of their 4-game homestand at the Palace of Auburn Hills against the Boston Celtics.
I at least think I have a preview of the Wings/Canadiens game tomorrow night in Montreal. I'll think it up the way I want to if it's not yet there.

Did the Red Wings improve in terms of "taking care of the puck" when they played the Montreal Canadiens? Plus, they needed to keep doing so against the Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars both on the road to start a 6-game road trip.
The Pistons continue their 5-game homestand with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards and finish it with the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks before visiting the Wizards.
The Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines clash, while the Central Michigan Chippewas look to keep their winning streak alive down the stretch in their 2014-2015 regular season.
Chicago Bears newcomers John Fox and Ryan Pace spoke to the media yesterday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. I'll break down their responses to questions regarding key Bears players and the new defensive scheme, as well as address which positions this Bears team needs to focus on in the upcoming draft. The Blackhawks lost to the Detroit Red Wings in a shootout last night in a thrilling game from start to finish. What are the biggest issues with these Hawks as they muddle through their 8 game homestand? Also, I'll give my take on the most influential trades from today's NBA Trade Deadline, and which playoff-bound teams got better. I've got open phone lines, so call in and give me your take! The Red Wings pick up only one point for giving up 8 goals in the last two games against the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Winnipeg Jets. They have to play better than that, of course, especially against the Eastern-Conference-leading Montreal Canadiens.
The Pistons have off until this Friday, which makes a very long NBA All-Star break for them. They welcome the Chicago Bulls into the Palace of Auburn Hills this Friday and then play the Washington Wizards in a matinee game at home Sunday to continue their 5-game homestand. The Pistons particularly need Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to improve by a large margin from his performance in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge the past Friday.
The Michigan State Spartans rebound nicely by picking up two wins, one of them which came in thrilling fashion at home the past Saturday (yesterday) against the Ohio State Buckeyes, while the Michigan Wolverines continue to struggle mightily and have off until Tuesday. The Central Michiigan Chippewas keep climbing up in the MAC Standings with wins over the Ohio Bobcats and the Buffalo Bulls.
I'll read you fans an article that shows another example of how the Tigers starting pitching rotation is NOT as concerning as some may think. It's about David Price feeling more refreshed.

The Lions begin their final road trip in Chicago against the Bears after getting back to first place in the NFC North Division. Did they clinch their first playoff berth in 3 years? I also preview the big regular-season game in Green Bay against the Packers.
Can the Wings get back on track? They open a 4-game homestand against the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Islanders, Colorado Avalanche, and Buffalo Sabres.
Can the Pistons continue their rally in the standings after winning 2 straight last weekend on the Pacific coast?
More college basketball in the mitten.
Any other Tigers offseason moves yet, especially with their bullpen?
A recap of Thanksgiving Thursday between the Lions and the struggling Chicago Bears. Did the Lions "get better" like Jim Caldwell said they have to do from a week ago? Plus, an early preview of the game next Sunday against the Buccaneers.
The Wolverines and Spartans both conclude their Football regular season on the road. Michigan probably gets humiliated by the Ohio State Buckeyes, while Michigan State apparently routs the Penn State Nittany Lions, who is awful.
College basketball continues in the mitten, which also includes the Central Michigan Chippewas basketball team, while their football team wraps up their 2014 regular season with a bye week.
How did the Red Wings fare with their homestand with the Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers? Also their only road game of the week in New Jersey with the Devils and their Sunday home game against the Canucks to wrap up the month of November? Also, a preview of their 3-game homestand with the Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars, and New York Rangers, plus their road game in Carolina against the Hurricanes next Sunday.
Can the Pistons improve at all? They were 3-10 last week. Should've been 11-2. How are they doing now?
Join us for our pro talk segment on Sports With The StatMan on Wednesday night.

The Lions get yet another thrilling comeback win at Ford Field over the Miami Dolphins, the Red Wings have a rough week, the Pistons get 2 wins from their homestand, the Michigan Wolverines barely hold on against the Northwestern Wildcats in Evanston, the Michigan State Spartans defense disappears entirely against the Ohio State Buckeyes offense and loses at home to drop out of the college football playoff picture, the Central Michigan Chippewas take the bye week, and the Tigers hire Alan Trammell as special assistant to president and general manager Dave Dombrowski.
