9 am Sunday morning Divine Service for Sunday 8/30/15. Traditional liturgy and law gospel sermon. Pastor Houser’s sermon from the gospel of Mark 7: 14-23. Second reading - Ephesians 6: 1--20.
What comes out of a man defiles him.
Obeying the law doesn’t make us righteous. Not eating bacon or shrimp doesn’t mean we’ll be found righteous by God. Nothing we do saves us. We stand under God’s wrath. Our old Adam is full of “evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
The good news of the gospel is Jesus Christ incarnate. Apart from jesus, we are polluted. St. Paul tells us to be strong in the Lord. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the way out from under God’s wrath. Take up the armor God has provided for us...the shield of faith.
we are going to talk about god the bible jesus things not judge people so call in ask qestions we are not qestioning god or jesus or the bible just people want to know dares nothing wrong with it so i hope you enjoy it . lord all our success is because of what you have done so give us peace Isaiah 26:1 the god show is a family show we you enjoy it an get blessed buy it amen if god is with us who can be agaist us romans 8:31 amen
Ever heard the old saying, “Do as I say, but not as I do”? In other words, people who say it, say it to those they’re in authority over. In most cases, this would be a parent/child relationship where the child would probably see the parent do something that was wrong or contradictory to what they were told NOT to do.
Unfortunately, this line of thinking has carried itself over from our homes into most of our churches and pulpits today. In other words, hypocrisy has become the new normal and most preachers fail to practice what they preach.
But, before you and I shake our heads in disgust and point our fingers at the preacher, it’ll behoove us to do some self examination of our talk as well as our walk.
Pastor Woods explains in part 3 of his series, “The Wrath of God”, taken from Romans chapter 2 verses 17 through 29.

Ephesians 1:11-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
2 Corinthians 1:22
22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
Colossians 1:7-10 (KJV) says
7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
The apostle Paul is praying for the saints to increase in the knowledge of God, with all wisdom and spiritual understanding. The prophet Daniel prophesied that during the end times, knowledge would increase. We see this taking place through technological advances all over the world. Countries, nations, and kingdoms are "boasting" in their knowledge. But how many people can boast that they know and understand the One, True God of the universe?

CS Lewis once said, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains ...". Why? When we are in pain, that is when we want and need God the most. So why is it so difficult for us to hear our God when we hurt? We will explore this probing question today on FMGLIve! Also, tune in today for a very special announcement regarding our program and exciting developments to come! It's all live today at 3 pm on FMGLive!
