Guest Speaker Micheal Boldea Of Hand Of Help Ministries On "Heads Up Warriors"

    in Religion

Mike Boldea was born in a small northern Romanian Village.   At the age of nine, his entire family was deported from Romania for smuggling Bibles.  His grandfather, Dumitru Duduman started an outreach ministry called "Hand of Help" of which Mike is now Chairman.

Mike has traveled internationally with Dumitru for over 11 years acting as Dumitru's translator.  They shared their testimonies, as well as an important message God gave Dumitru for the United States.

Recently Mike has translated the book entitled "Life In Christ" which Dumitru had penned prior to his death.  The testimonies of those that were persecuted for their faith must live on to build up the body of Christ.  Mike continues to operate in his gift as an Evangelist to exhort the body of Christ to present itself with a garment clean before our Lord.

Michael has a strong Christian heritage coming from a line of 4 generations of Christians.  In the village of Hinceste Romania his Great grandfather was one of the first Christians converted there and his grandfather was a pastor and his father pastors the "Messiah" church in Botosani Romania with over 800 members.  Their family worked with Richard Wurmbrandt, Harlan Popoff, and brother Andrew taking bibles to the underground Church.

Michael has seen the presence of God in accomplishing the work that his family was called to.  In the face of great persecution and opposition thousands of bibles were given to the Christians of Romania even though it was punishable by imprisonment if caught.  His grandfather Dumitru Duduman did suffer greatly being imprisoned for his faith.  Under extreme torture he never recanted his faith and stands as a witness of faithfulness to this day in Romania.

Super Bowl 50 preview; Manning rides off into sunset or Newton powers Panthers

    in Sports

The NFL dropped the roman numerals after 49 Super Bowls. Super Bowl 50 will pair future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning against this years potential MVP Cam Newton. Manning has played 17 season in the NFL and this could be his last. Newton was in a horrific car crash last season and is looking for his first Lombardi Trophy.

The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers both used powerful defensive units to get to Super Bowl 50. The Broncos were number one overall in yards allowed and the Panthers were sixth. The Broncos allowed 18.5 points per game whlie the Panthes only allowed 19.2. Both teams pressure the quarterback and force turnovers. The Broncos led the league with 52 sacks and the Panthers registered 44.

Peyton Manning battled injuries and endured the worst statistical year of his career. Cam Newton lost his top receiver in training camp and proceeded to put up career numbers. The Panthers averaged 142.6 yards per game rushing which ranked second. The Broncos identity was to run first, and they averaged 25 rushes per game and 107 rushing yards.

With two dominating defenses, which offense will be able to muster a play to win the game? Will special teams determine the winner? Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.

    Venerating Our Ancestors, Sheps, Egungun

    in Spirituality

Within one year we have gained some powerful Ancestors as 3 Master Teachers such as Dr. Yosef Ben Jochannan, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, and Dr. Delbert Blair have made their transition into the Ancestral Realm. There have been many others in our communities that have passed on and leave a legacy and very large shoes to fill. However, we have learned much from them and we must continue to honor them. As African people and original peoples of the world, ancestral veneration is a part of our lives and consciousness. We will honor their spirits and share their stories and continue the work in which they have begun and carried out so well. We will share ways in which to connect with and honor our Ancestors that span over a variety of traditions and look forward to messages and ways that will assist us today.

We will also discuss the importance of honoring and revering the Elders and Master Teachers in our communities that are among us today. We should not wait until someone is gone to show how much we love them or acknowledge the importance of their contributions to society.

Black History is living and active today! We look forward to your participation and constructive dialogue.

    Principals of Nationality in Action:

Where do you come from? What’s your Nationality or does citizenship apply? Where were you born?

The answer to these simple questions will affirm or negate what you have documented and sent out. In fact it is a verbal new affidavit proclamation of your status hence Prophet Noble Drew Ali strongly advised the following: “If you do nothing else “Declare” i.e. be clear about…your Nationality”!!!

My People suffer for lack of knowledge…Prophet Noble Drew Ali.

In the Footsteps of Birmingham's Civil Rights History

    in Travel

Birmingham, Alabama is considered ground zero in the civil rights movement.  In the 1950s, African-Americans of all ages in Birmingham drew a proverbial line in the sand against racial segregation.  Their stories, struggles and ultimate success over Jim Crow laws is on display at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute in an effort to keep the stories of this dark chapter in American history alive.

Across the street from the Civil Rights Institute is the 16th Street Baptist Church where a 1963 bombing that killed four young girls changed the course of history in Birmingham and America.  We will walk through this church that has, today, become a place to unify a community and people from all over the world.

Downtown Birmingham is the home to the Civil Rights Heritage Trail.  Kelly Ingrham Park, also known as Freedom Park, was the staging area for many of the demonstrations that took place in Birmingham led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth and others.  Today, Freedom Parkt is a sculpture garden that honors those who peacefully demonstrated.

We will revisit our conversation with jazz legend, the late Frank "Doc" Adams.  He shared his music and life with us when we met him at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame just weeks before his passing at the age of 86.
