Join Dr. Lila Robinson is the study of the Book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews challenges us to grow in our faith, to become disciplined in our walk with the Lord, understanding fully the sacrifice, love and joy of life in Christ. We as Christian must become more disciplined in our walk. Remember we have not been challenged with our own blood unto death. Yet we stagger quickly away from God. This week we will go deeper into our walk of faith.
Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, while it is said,
“Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.”
For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.

Redemption was achieved by Jesus Christ taking upon himself sinful human nature on the cross, so delivering from the power and penalty of sin. Human nature is created by God. God created humanity. God created human beings as male and female. God created human beings in his image and likeness. Human nature is created inferior to God himself.
Human nature is given life by the Spirit of God. Human beings are dependent upon God. Human beings have freedom to choose between good and evil. The components of human nature. The soul. The Hebrew and Greek words for soul are translated in various ways including breath and life. It refers chiefly to the principle of life. The spirit. The Hebrew and Greek words for spirit are translated in various ways including breath, heart and mind.
It often refers to the identity giving aspect of human nature. The flesh. The Hebrew and Greek words for flesh are translated in various ways...
The loose-knit tribes of the Hebrews almost lost sight of Moses' lofty teachings after his death. Joshua found it necessary to preach a stern gospel to his disbelieving people, who were unwilling to go forward in the religion of faith and righteousness. But the authors of the Psalms and the so-called Book of Job expressed such a wealth of devotion and inspirational ideas of God as to keep alive the light of truth among the children of Israel.
