U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa and U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz square off this year to fill the last two years of the six-year term of powerful political icon Daniel K. Inouye, who died in 2012.
Both are popular Democrats who have enjoyed the support of many of the same voters in the past. Most of the polls published this year describe this race as too close to call in the Aug. 9 primary election Honolulu Magazine
U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa holds an edge over U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz in the Democratic primary for Senate, a new Hawaii Poll shows, and voters who prefer the congresswoman cite her legislative experience as the main reason.
Democratic Primary (Aug. 9) Honolulu Star-Advertiser Schatz 42, Hanabusa 50
Peter Greenberg ventures to the North Shore of the island of Oahu in Hawaii to the Turtle Bay Resort. There he explores the movement to maintain and preserve Hawaiian culture. We also learn about the mythology—and the cutting edge reality—of the big waves on the North Shore, told by some of legendary surfers like Tom Pohaku Stone and Marty Thomas. Plus, just for good measure, we talk to Danna Holck, the first female Hawaiian native general manager of a hotel. She talks about the importance of keeping Turtle Bay Resort's vaules aligned with traditional Hawaiian values.

Talked about the “comment uproar” regarding the raising of the Hawaiian Kingdom flag at UH Hilo. And the post by Mary Alice Ka’iulani Milham about those comments. And how it may be a very positive sign for the re-blossoming of the Kingdom of Hawaii.

Well, among other things, there were a few comments about the Kinngdom of Hawaii, and a bit of its history. Some of the message was about the following post: http://kauilapele.wordpress.com/2014/11/26/san-francisco-chronicle-monday-sept-5-1887-the-government-of-the-sandwich-islands-appears-to-have-passed-into-the-hands-of-a-military-oligarchy/

In this part of the interview, Mr. Sinkin discusses his background (education, legal, political, and spiritual), what led him to come to Hawaii, his legal efforts in Hawaii to protect sea life and the environment, and his initial involvement in the Hawaiian sovereignty movement, up until the time he learned about Ali`i Nui Mo`i Edmund K. Silva, Jr.
The date of this interview was 10-10-14.

Music, "E Ala E" (© Mountain Apple Company) is available here (Lanny informed me this was one of his favorite Hawai'ian pieces).
BJ Rains, Idaho Press Tribune writer and weekly contributor to the show, joins the program to talk about a number of things regarding BSU football! We will chat about the Hawaii bowl, Coach Harsin and more! Also, we will recap Monday night football, NBA updates and top headlines of the day!
Among the topics the came up were the energies, and riding the waves coming in right now.
Importance of the archontic removal process for Kp.
Brought up big wave surfer, Eddie Aikau, and family, as seen in the movie "30 for 30: Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau", and looked at how the Hawaiians became lower class citizens in their own land. Waikiki Beach became populated with big hotels, and many places were "off limits" to Hawaiians ("Whites Only" signs went up).
KEY POINT: The Kingdom of Hawai'i IS NOW IN OPERATION, through Ali`i Nui Mo`i Edmund K. Silva, Jr. It does not need to "be restored". As resources come in to implement the plan and vision, everything else (OHA, State of Hawaii govt., Federal govt.) becomes irrelevant.
Also discussed why the re-energizing of the Kingdom of Hawai'i is so important for the planet.
