SHOW SPOTLIGHT GUEST: Miami Plus Size pageant winner Shatroyia Phillips
BIO & Author's Words:
Miami Plus Size pageant winner Shatroyia Phillips has officially released her new book All Hail the Queen: from Trials & Tribulations to Triumphs & Victories on April 13, 2014. The author felt compelled to share her trials and tribulations to show plus size teens and women that no matter what life offered them, they could take it and build whatever they wanted out of it.
All Hail the Queen is described as a premier resource to help all plus sized ladies recognize their strengths and get in touch with their self esteem, the book is a stylized guide by the beauty queen life coach.
“Life doesn't give instructions or mercy. It gives hard solid blows that knock you down to your knees; trials and tribulations that are unbearable to some and only survived by the chosen,” says Shatroyia Phillips. “If you rise, it hits you again until you learn how to stand. And once you learn how to stand, then life hands you your crown.”
Shatroyia has personally influenced and inspired many plus sized women to look within and recognize their true beauty. Excited by their reaction, Shatroyia has founded AllHailTheQueenBook.com as a base from which to dominate the world.
"They say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger," added Shatroyia Phillips, "but what they didn't know is that I would take that strength and build a throne fit for a Queen."
Tonight, I am wore out, probably might nap for part of the show but if I do, you have my permission to slap me silly until I wake up. On a serious note, we have another show planned where we power up the show after switching to Venus Cable after pledging our allegiance to Princess Sailor V-chan. We got 50 years of free cable now! :3 Also, Mamo-chan's dead.
In addition to our usual, unusual behaviour during the show while talking Sailor Moon Crystal & SAO II, I'm also talking about future show plans for Halloween & the holidays. It's going to be fun. If you want to join the insanity or boredom(depending on show mood), call in at (516) 418-5668, call in with Skype with the Skype button or if the show is in aftershow or the queue is full, follow the instructions below.
IF THE CALL-IN QUEUE IS FULL OR YOU WANT TO CALL INTO AFTERSHOW AT 11:30 PM-11:45 PM, CALL OUR BACKUP PHONE LINE AT: 218-936-4971 & DIAL PIN 227528# OR ADD ME ON SKYPE: HomerBouvier
On this episode of The VDown with Michael V.. We look at the last month of for two of Kansas City's teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. For both teams it has been a month of up and downs but they both enter October on fire!
The Chiefs enter October with a 2-2 record coming off a win on Monday Night Football in front of a record setting home crowd that set the decibel record for the world's loudest outdoor stadium where Michael V also helped contribute his voice. Sunday, Alex Smith returns to San Francisco for the first time since losing his job to Colin Kapernick and we will discuss that game as well.
The Royals came into October squeezing into the playoffs as a wildcard, just falling a few games short of a division title. They then won a wild, wild card came in extra innings to earn a trip to the ALDS against the Los Angeles Angels. They have since won the first two games in LA, both in extra innings and are looking to sweep the series on Sunday in front of their home crowd in Kansas City.
So join us this Wednesday, October 8th at 5 pm Central Time for a Kansas City sports edition of The VDown with Michael V. We are also available for download on iTunes and www.blogtalkradio.com/vdown.

Nope, not the soup. Everyone on television has been trying to find just the right "snark" to point the President's wavering positions, but the "Mulligan" is the one that works for me. Because if he gets as many of them on the course as he does while working the Oval Office, then he's got to be one 'CRAPPY' PLAYER.'
Anyway, gotta get ready for the show. Had a class today and I'm running a bit late, but I promise to be here by 2:30 EST. Lots to talk about. Talk with you in a few.
Embattled wide receiver DeSean Jackson makes his return to Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon when the Eagles host the Washington Redskins. Jackson, who suffered Grade 1 sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder in Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, said he expects to play. Jackson was cut by the Eagles in late march and signed with the Redskins days later.
The Eagles (2-0), meanwhile, will attempt to start 3-0 for the first time since 2004, posting victories in their first two games despite trailing by at least 14 points in the second half of each.
Washington will turn to Kirk Cousins at quarterback after Robert Griffin III exited Sunday's contest with a dislocated ankle.
