Good evening and welcome to this special Good Friday edition of Ed Boston Evangelistic Outreach for April 18th 2014. Today is a somber day for believers in Jesus Christ, despite the name “Good Friday” is the day in we we in the Christian faith commemorate the crucifixion of our LORD Jesus Christ.
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE! THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF JESUS THE FIRST WORD Luke 23:33-34 When they came to the place called "The Skull", they nailed Jesus to the cross there, and the two criminals, one on his right and one on his left. Jesus said "Forgive them, Father! They do not know what they are doing." * Meditation on the First Word "They do not know what they are doing" They do not know? They ...who killed Jesus? Who is "they"? It is so easy to name others to blame others the Romans the crowd Pilate, Herod, Caiaphas they all played their part and conspired against Jesus or simply followed orders to maintain the peace to keep Jesus' kingdom from infringing on theirs.
Were you taught Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and arose Easter Sunday morning? Did you ever do the math? That's only 36 hours. In Matthew 12:38-40, the Lord Jesus prophesied that He would be in the heart of the earth "three days AND three nights," a specific period of 72 hours.
The Lord Jesus cannot lie. The current Good Friday tradition is a myth. In order to expose the current Good Friday tradition all we need to do is determine the actual YEAR, MONTH, DAY and HOUR of the Lord Jesus Christ death and burial.
According to commonly accepted tradition, Jesus was crucified on Friday, dying at 3 PM and was raised from the dead Sunday morning. Many are perplexed to try and figure out how you can get three days and three nights. Too many, when all the adding is calculated, it onlly adds up to two nights and one day.
I invite you to join us for a very special broadcast and we explore the Wednesday crucifixion and the Good Friday myth.
Join Catholic Evangelist Gary Zimak as he leads a Good Friday reflection. He will not only discuss the suffering of Jesus Christ, but will offer suggestions for easing His suffering. Although we should meditate on the Lord's agony, we should also try to do something positive to console His Sacred Heart. Gary will discuss this (and much more) as he closes out the Following The Truth Lenten Radio Retreat. Make it a point to listen!
Direct from the complaints on Facebook comes the explanation of why the "Holiday" Good Friday is misnamed. And why might a cross might not be the best symbol to be wearing when Jesus comes back.
All this and just a little more in this blasphemous episode of Jam This!
The power of prayer can break through any challenge or difficulty. Sometimes we just need a reminder that we are not alone and that our loving God is walking beside us!
Join Bishop Deb Vaughan for a time of reflection and prayer to encourage you in your day.
On this Good Friday, let's take some time to connect with Creator.
KJV - John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Was Jesus in the Grave 3 days and 3 Nights? Is Easter and Bunny Rabbits part of the Resurrection process?
Most of us believe Friday was the day Jesus was crucified and this has been widely accepted as the traditional day of crucifixion. But if Christ was crucified on Friday, how was He in the grave for three days and three nights as Jesus said in Matthew 12:40?
