An emerging network is coming to the internet that will foster sustainable food economies across the United States. A project of Vital Systems, the Good Food Web is in the building stage, and now is the time to get involved in shaping this exciting enterprise. Vital Systems project consultant to Good Food Web, Vince Trotter joins the program to talk about the inspiration and collaboration that is creating this innovative initiative. As our economy is transforming, Good Food Web will offer an important solution to help our changes take place so we can create local viable and sustainable food economies.
A dynamic duo of south Florida women have come up with an amazing idea, good food for kids via, Super Duper Grub 4 Kids, the first food truck in the U. Sl didicated to providing fresh, whoesome food for growing appetites. Their mission is to provide toddlers to teens their favorite foods with a healthy twist at a good value.
Shirley Gutkokwski will find out more about how they came up with the idea, where they will take their food truck and what they will serve. Laura Bonilla is the Grub Master, a self-proclaimed foodie, entrepreneur and health conscious human. Jean Wilco is the Director of Fun, and event planner, she is a pescetarian and loves to cook. These two women put their heads together to create a business that provides healthy food for young people, but also gives back to the community by aligning with and donating to local organizations that provide social services for children in need.
There are many lessons to be learned here, the obvious one is all about the kids, and after that we learn about two women who have decided to create a business that solves social and economic problems.

Gaston has obtained her Associates Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from American Intercontinental, Hoffman IL.,currently working on her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, Minneapolis Minnesota. Gaston has volunteered for Child Advocate for Abused & Neglected Children in PG County, theCalvary & Pathways Women’s Shelter in Washington D.C. and the Women’s Correctional Facility in Jessup MD. Gaston serves as the coordinator for the Domestic Violence Program for the church.Gaston is a motivational speaker on domestic violence, a DV awareness advocate, and with this passion she offers in person session for the community, churches and or schools to further promote her cause. In 2009 she founded the organization called “Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags”. DVWMT is a local domestic violence prevention and resource organization dedicated to restoring and preserving a stable family environment through services, advocacy and education. Gaston spends her time advocating against domestic violence not only to the abused but also to the abuser, both men and women. Her life experience has given her the courage and strength to tell her story and how she has changed her life around and started helping others become aware of DV and how to avoid becoming the victim and/ or abuser.Gaston is the host of “DVWMT an internet talk show” It is important that Gaston gets the word out to as many people as she can so the cycle of abuse can be broken.
