The Apostle Paul tells us to "pray without ceasing". But maybe you don't pray because you don't know how to pray. Prayer can be making your requests known to God. But really, prayer is simply having a 2-way conversation with God your Father, as a child talking to his Father!
Prayer is not a magic formula to get what we want or a mechanical recitation of words. Jesus tells us not to use vain repetitions as the heathen do. But prayer is knowing who your heavenly Father is and trusting that He always knows what is best for you. It's to interact with the Lord by exchanging human wishes (ideas) for His wishes as He imparts faith.
Jesus gave us the model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, which covers about every area of our lives. This prayer is exalting the Lord, praying for His Will, believing our daily needs will be provided for, keeping us from temptation and believing for our protection. What a powerful prayer! "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven."
Prayer is believing AND receiving. Not just believing, but receiving the answer. It's having faith that God will answer your prayers and you receiving the answer. Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

We all know who God is don't we? Or do we? We've heard many characteristics of God. But what does He say about himself? If you think you know the answer to these questions, lets discuss them and be ready to support your answers. Come let us reason together as we expand our voices
Join Gary Zimak as he discusses the importance of the statement, "I believe in one God, the Father Almighty". Even though it seems like an obvious statement, especially for Christians, it is one of the most powerful and comforting declaration that we could ever make. Tune in and we'll discuss it on this episode of The Gary Zimak Show!
It's a very BIG concept, but Gary Zimak is up for the challenge. Join him as he discusses the concept of God as Father. Why does it matter? Is He different than the Son? How does the Holy Spirit fit into the equation? Gary will tackle these questions (and more) as he continues his walk through the Cathechism of the Catholic Church. If you've always wanted to learn more about what the Church teaches, this series is for you! Make it a point to listen today!!!
James Kessee VS Dennis C.Latham - debate on the american flag
From FaceBook Post by Dennis C. Latham
My comment about the caucasian woman who grabbed and snatched an american flag from protestors of the opposite race who were walking on it -
Dennis C. Latham
her god is a flag - that represents a satanic nation started on abuse, beating, cheating, harming, hating, hurting, murdering, racism, raping and stealing.
draping that flag over dead soldier is nothing - you need to drape yourself in THE BLOOD OF JESUS.
James Kessee Not only is your view on the American flag disrespectful but its also extremely ignorant and insensitive to the many Soldiers, fireman, etc. that have made the ultimate sacrafice. Whether you like it or not, that flag has given many hope when there was none. I can personally say when I went to Iraq I had no prouder moment then the moment I looked at the flag and said "this is how you represent your country". You are clearly a well educated man but this is by far just a dumb and ignorant statement. Dion E. Evans I am curious as to your views as well.
Colossians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
In our efforts as a minstry, we are needing to affirm to the Body of Christ and even to ourselves that it isn't enough just to know about someone. The knowledge of someone comes from hearing about the person wether it be good or bad info. Which would need to be looked into before allowing that person to come in contact with you. Rom 10:14-15 describes the believer of Jesus Christ needing to bring the good news to those that don't know about the Lord and Savior of the world Jesus Christ. Today is the day that we move forward to teach on the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and Experience Him as we ought to. Paul mentioned in Phillipians 3:10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
