Ok. When I go to a doctor, part of me just does not want to listen. However, when Dr. Ginger says something I Will Listen (or drool). Dr. Ginger is the reining Mrs. Virginia U.S. 2013 and will be competing in the Mrs. United States Pageant July 27-31 in Las Vegas. Her platform is B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe) teen safe driving program started by her husband in 2008 after his 2 sons, Jon and James, were killed in a tragic car accident. To date, B.R.A.K.E.S. has put over 10,000 teens through the safe driving program.
The doctor wrote the nutrition & mind-body chapters in the N.Y.Times Best Seller, “Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor;” a book written by one of her students. I need to check out that book!
Dr. Ginger has been:
Director of Corporate Wellness for Bruton Smith’s Sonic Automotive and Speedway Motorsports (NASCAR racetracks)
Director of Nutritional Wellness for The Cliffs Communities
Spa Director for The Trump Spa at Mar-a-lago, Donald Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Fla.
Since then, Dr. Ginger has devoted her professional life to public health education. She helped to develop the first policy for the “Surgeon General’s Report on Physical Activity & Health for Women,” and today she continues as a consumer health advocate, using her intimate knowledge of the human body, physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, and preventive and alternative medicine to weave together meaningful disease-busting consumer education information through her magazine articles, TV appearances and speaking engagements nationwide.

My guest for 06/18/14 is Ginger Burr.
Over the past 27 years, Ginger Burr, President of Total Image Consultants, believing that your image is about representing the best of you (not making designers happy), has built a remarkable career as an expert personal image consultant working with women from all over the world and from all walks of life.
Ginger has helped women navigate through (and sometimes completely ignore!) the styles of the season and feel good about how they look. She helps women create a wardrobe they love by connecting with their inner essence.
Ginger is the creator of a one-of-a-kind body image, self-esteem, and style coaching program “Who Taught You How to Dress?” which allows women to overcome the obstacles and learn the skills they need to create a wardrobe they love all in the comfort of their own home with her guidance and support.
We'll be talking Ginger's image consulting business, how you can express your music with what you choose to wear, and her inspiring book That’s So You! Create a Look You Love with Beauty, Style, and Grace!
To find out more about Ginger Burr, visit her website at www.totalimageconsultants.com
Please note that the sound quality for this episode is not great because of an echo on the line Ginger was using but the information is valuable so we've decided to keep the recording of the show.
I am happy to say that Ginger will be back on my show August 6, 2014. If you have questions you'd like me to ask Ginger next time she's on my show, send me an email to email@example.com

This radio show is hosted by Debbie Coffey, Vice-President & Director of Wild Horse Affairs at Wild Horse Freedom Federation .
Tonight's guest is Ginger Kathrens, Director of The Cloud Foundation. On March 24, The Cloud Foundation received an anonymous tip that BLM had rounded up and removed 41 free-roaming horses from public lands in northern Wyoming. Further investigation revealed that BLM conducted a helicopter roundup of the horses and turned them over to the Wyoming Livestock Board who sold the horses directly to the Canadian Bouvry Slaughterouse. The taxpayer-funded roundup was conducted with no notice of sale after the horses were impounded, giving no one the opportunity to step in and negotiate a deal to purchase any of the horses. Even Bighorn County Sheriff, Kenneth Blackburn, was surprised that he received no notification of the roundup, which was conducted in his jurisdiction. The horses were driven to Shelby, Montana, to the Bouvry-owned feedlot, the jumping off point to their Canadian slaughterhouse, the largest slaughterhouse in Canada.
All but four foals were sold to a Canadian slaughterhouse. The foals were purchased from Worland Livestock Auction by Kim Michels. The Cloud Foundation transported these foals, all between 3 and 12 weeks old, to Colorado where they are now under the expert care of Dr. Lisa Jacobson, DVM. They require special nutrition and socialization as they acclimate to their new environment.
The foals, known as the Dry Creek Quartet, are:
Anyone up for a trip to the sea shore?
This week Ginger Dawn takes us to the sea shore to explore. One of her inspirations is the book by Theodore Carl Soderberg called Uncharted Waters.
And in typical Ginger Dawn gala and extravaganza production - Cecil B DeMille would be proud - her program will not only contain the book review, and inspiration found at the sea shore but there will be music and poetry too.
Ginger - how about a marching band of seagulls?!
