SORT BY Relevancy
Tonight Liberal Dan Radio continues the discussion of gerrymandering and how it harms the voters. I created a petition to the White House to look into attempts to gerrymander districts to give a political advantage.
Now, it is not just in red states. Blue states also have gerrymandered districts and it is just as wrong there as well. We will go into some more numbers on that topic as well.
Food trucks are also becoming big business in several major cities. Why does New Orleans, a city that is known for its cuisine, having problems trying to implement them?
An update will also be given about the homelessness and parking issues that I have complained about recently.
Those topics and more, tonight on Liberal Dan Radio: talk from the left, that's right.

The 2010 census numbers will become available in February and later redistricting for 2011 will begin. The basic idea behind our system of
democracy is that equal numbers of people should have equal influence over the legislative process. After each census legislators reshape districts to equalize the populations in each district. But all to often, legislators manipulate the line drawing process for partisan advantage. Gerrymandering might be the best way to steal an election short of outright fraud. Prison-based gerrymandering operates subtlety behind closed doors making mobilizing people for reform challenging. It's almost the perfect crime. A legislator gets extra influence without having to be accountable to more constituents and the data says the district is legit. Tune it to find out how a man won a city council seat in the Second Ward in Anamosa, Iowa with only two votes being cast.

Tonight’s guest will be, Jerry Holland, surpervisor of elections for duval county (Jacksonville, fl.. Our topic will focus on what some call “White discrimination!” Should the government gerrymander districts in the favor of minorities? IF you don’t know what “gerrymandering” is, make sure you tune in tonight as you might not like what practices our federal government does.!
Gerrymandering has made a mockery of the democratic process throughout the US. Engineering districts to benefit one party or the other has been raised to a fine art, making most of them safe for incumbents. Current members of Congress have over a 90% chance of being re-elected. Those who call to "throw all the bums out" generally seem to feel that their bums are the exception to the rule, not making the connection to why Congress as a whole has a 9% approval rating.
With the stunning defeat of House Speaker Eric Cantor by a candidate who spent little over 5% of what he did, it is evident that unified action by disaffected voters can affect elections. Citizens of Virginia's District 7 have shown both conservatives and liberals that they do not have to settle for the choices of the establishment in the Duopoly parties. The key to turning this apparent anomoly into a trend will be to get self-identified liberals and conservatives to agree on issues that they can unite on and use them to elect candidates who will represent the People and not special interests.
Poltical analyst Karl Eysenbach joins us once again to talk about how some activists are organizing in Eugene, Oregon to challenge the lock that party flacks have on the Board of County Commissioners. Their success in the recent elections holds lessons for everyone who wants to end corporate control at all levels of government, end the gridlock in Washington and Take Back America for the People.
This show was rebroadcast on June 21 at 9 AM PST/ 12 PM EST on the Star Com Radio network.
Take Back America for the People is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to educate the American public on true costs of corporate control of the US government.
Know the truth and the truth will set us free.
Adults of today must always do the very best to continue the building of a better America than the America we received. Recall the deaths of 4 girls in Little Rock in the 60's. Their death was because there was Americans who was fighting change. Fighting to not change the America they grew up in. So the lives of 4 little girls ended on a Sunday morning, and many Americans come to realize the errors of their ways. We celebrated the 50th year of civil rights this year. With year years past you wouldn't think American would be today once again fighting change. Fighting to not change the America they grew up in? Or are they fighting to revert to the America of pre-civil rights act of 1964? I don't know what the fight is about. No one will share with me why they agitate chaos. I fight to keep America moving forward. Moving forward from my perspective in 2014 is for the first time, I wish to see equal right for all people, all people. I think we are getting there and I think there are American who cannot stomach having every person equal to them. So rather than see others equal to them they do things to prevent equality. If someone other than the majority want anything, the majority find a way to prevent it:
1)Gun control to protect American lives, especially the lives of innocent children 2) Affordable Care Act 3)Raising minimum wages, 4)Keeping planned parenthood in the hands of families 5)One person one vote 6)Promises to veterans and their families 7)Equal protection for the native Americans 8)Food subsidy programs to prevent hunger 9)Adaquate affordable housing 10)Clean air 11)Clean water 12)Safe roads and highways 13) Enforce regulations that keep American safe from hurt and harm in America and outside our borders. These things we hire people to do. We call it voting.

Why all the new laws to restrict voting? Why all the Gerrymandering? Who is this intended to hurt? Why is it important to focus on the rights of the working class rather than Blue vs. Red, Liberal vs. Republican and Rich vs. Poor? Join the conversation and share our take on the matter.
The GOP is the weakest link. The GOP No TEAM formed Jan 20, 2009. The purpose of the group was to make PBO a one term president. Well here's a list of President Obama's accomplishments over the last 5 years. PBO has worked for and with all the people of America. He has been courageous and steadfast in his efforts to leave America better than he found it. He has been successful. Accomplishments has mounted and with no thanks to the GOP, America's weakest link. With all the backing of lobbyist GOP has continued in scandalous lies, and mockery toward President Obama. GOP should see the the people of America are not weak. The people of America can see clearly. Even some who didn't vote for Obama first time around came on board the 2nd time. For as in the American way, Americans always have stood up for the good of America at the right time. America is a human chain. And a chain is not, cannot be any stronger than it's weakest link. The GOP is old, rusty, and has served it's purpose. The GOP's has created money for self. The GOP has increased poverty, racial animosity, scams in courts and the schemed gerrymandering in districts has lead to voter suppression and has created slots for Republican where there was not any. These facts make the GOP NO Team Americas weakest link.
