Royalty-free Music: Listen to a sample of really free music from Jason Shaw

    in Business

Welcome to the School of social marketing, featuring the Nicheprof, Dr. Ron Capps.

Today, we're turning the show over to Jason Shaw.

Jason is a music producer, who provides royalty free music, for free.

Dr. Capps brought Jason to my attention this past week. I've wanted to do a music show for a while. Since we're moving rapidily through the holiday season, I thought this would be a good time to do it.

Unlike many of the musicians who produce music for online videos, Jason names each track.

So, in order of presentation, you'll hear

    Big Swing Band

Boogie Woogie Bed - he's referring to a soundtrack that you can talk over...

    Clap Along

    Double Blues

    Eggyptian Crawl

    Lions Heart

    Namaste

    Ooh Hey

    Right on Red

    Fight Scene

    Texas Techno

The music is available for you to download and use from his website

    AudioNautix.com

I'm pleased to announce that Dr. Capps and I will begin a live broadcast on Wednesday, December 31st at 11:30 AM EST.

We've been doing the show on Sunday since August 8th, 2008. It's be a casual conversation about social media.

But times change, and so does technology. We want to Hangout with you. We want to have guests. We want to let the developers of some of the top information products tell you, first hand, how and why they developed their product. And why you should care.

So, once again, you're listening to a random sample of music from Jason Shaw.

If you like what you hear, you can download and use his music, for free, if you give him credit for producing it.

    Seems reasonable, doesn't it?

It's all instrumental, so you can just think.

I'm Ken English, the mediamojoguy, saying TATA for now - TATA, that's Think And Take Action.

Is Giving Away Your Music Helping Or Hurting Your Career

    in Music

Is Giving Your Music Away Helping or Hurting Your Music Career? The debate about free music has raged for years now, and there’s still no answer that satisfies all sides. Tim Kreider’s NYT op-ed piece called “Slaves of the Internet, Unite!” does a good job voicing the frustrations of artists around the world who are tired of seeing their labor go unvalued (both monetarily and otherwise). But Remember, buyers no longer have to purchase an entire album in order to enjoy an artist's music. They can purchase single tracks that they have heard on other platforms. This is a perfect way for artists to earn and create revenue in streams that were not possible before the age of the MP3. Rather than risking the loss of a sale because a potential buyer does not want to buy an entire CD, artists can also now make money because buyers can select any specific song they want. The other side of this is that, if a band releases a song for free, fans may want to buy more of their songs which require a purchase.

LIVE Celebrity Link- Jamaican DeeJays of the 70s 80s 90s & their contribution

    in Music

Deejay (alternatively spelled DJ) is a term in Jamaican music for a reggae or dancehall musician who sings and "toasts" to an instrumental riddim.

Deejays are not to be confused with disc jockeys from other music genres like hip-hop, where they select and play music. Dancehall/reggae DJs who select riddims to play are called selectors. Deejays who are more likely to sing are sometimes called singjays.

The term deejay came about as a result of the act of some selectors (as they were called) of the 60s and 70s such as U-Roy or King Stitt toasting to the version side of popular records of the time. The version came about when the record company produced the 45 record with the song, the flip side of which had the instrumental version of the song. This gave the deejays the chance to make up on-the-fly lyrics to the instrumental music. This occurrence gave rise to deejay toasting and the term has been used in that context ever since.

Live:Celebrity Link- THE ETHIOPIANS and Events in Jamaica of The 1966 - 1974

    in Music

Live:Celebrity Link- THE ETHIOPIANS  and  Events in Jamaica of The 1966 - 1974

The Ethiopians were a ska, rocksteady, and reggae vocal group, founded by Leonard Dillon (b. 9 December 1942, Port Antonio, Jamaica,  28 September 2011), Stephen Taylor and Aston Morris. The group started out recording for Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd in 1966. Dillon had previously released some mento songs under the pseudonym Jack Sparrow. Around late 1966, Morris left the Ethiopians. Having left Dodd, the Ethiopians started recording at Dynamic Studios for the W.I.R.L. label, releasing the rocksteady "Train to Skaville", which was their first success. In 1968, they recorded the song "Everything Crash", their first big hit. The song criticised the political situation in Jamaica at the time, such as water rationing and power cuts that led to unrest; such as an incident in which thirty one people were shot by the police. "Everything Crash" was later covered by Prince Buster. "The Whip" is another of their enduring songs from that period.

My Guest today is:Commentary by Preston James on AntiSemitism It’s time for a Big Terminology Change  In this article you will be shown how this term “anti-Semitism” is a misnomer and is being mis-used by Judaics and Israeli espionage fronts to deflect any appropriate criticism for their unacceptable behaviors.
