Food and the prepared life seems simple enough, however, there are so many varied aspects or aisles to travel down. There is the often first heard of, storage, how much for how long, bulk or freeze dried or? Grow your own, farmers market, coops, buying clubs? They all have something in common, they are all about food but for all the hoopla in the prepper world have you thought of what you are eating. The nutritional values, just what you are really getting for your dollar in the way of health and subsistence?
Understanding the food label and actually knowing what information it provides you can make planning and preparing a food storage program much more nutritious and easy to accomplish. Join in this Sunday as Lynna talks about the food label, how to use it, what it says and the benefit to the prepper.

What can I say, we all can relate to fast food no matter what side of the fence you sit on. It was one of our more popular shows so we have decided to talk about thi subject more often. KFC has unfortunately been involved in a lot negative news lately, even when it's false accusations they made a negative into a positive. We will talk about 15 stuggles of working in the fast food industy. The Chef will whip up a few fast food style recipes that will please the whole family and your pals. Other fast food establishments will be chatted about also. We will do our best to inform and have fun with you all at the same time. Don't go threw the drive thru come on inside and pull up a plastic hard seat and let's talk fast food once again.
Many people in recovery struggle with both alcohol AND food disorders. This issue is so common you often hear food addiction referred to as a "sister" addiction to alcoholism.
We have had many requests for a show that addresses the particular challenges for people in recovery who struggle with both, so we are thrilled to welcome Alison Ross, LMFT to our show!
Alison is a licensed psychotherapist and the Founder of Center for Eating Recovery where she helps women and men of all ages heal their relationship with food and become body-confident. In addition to her work at the Center, she is a consultant for Harmony Place a drug and alcohol treatment center, and formerly Beit T’Shuvah, where she helps to create an environment in which women can heal their relationship with food and body while adjusting to sobriety.
On the show, Alison and Carissa, an Eating Coach at the Center, discuss three cultural narratives that keep us stuck in food addiction and body image distress and how to break free and get healthy from the inside-out.
