Dr. Clifford N. "The Strange Man" Alford: Cherokee

    in Religion

    Prerecorded April 3, 2004

Dr. Clifford N. Alford began his training at five years old, when his Grandmother, a Texas Cherokee Medicine Woman recognized his interest in herbs and the ways of Mother Earth. She taught him an average of two to three months per year for the next fourteen years.

Naturopathic and Shamanic Services, Inc. was founded by Dr. Sir Clifford N. Alford, Th.D, DD, MH, S/RMT, in May of 1995 in Tahlequah, OK for the purpose of protecting and reviving indigenous matriarchal shamanic traditions of the Cherokee Tribe and other similar traditions worldwide. This ministry had operated in Tahlequah and the surrounding areas, and in Texas, Louisiana, Michigan and New Mexico since 1993. His name was changed to Prajna Shiva Kalidasa by his Tibetan and Javanese teachers.

Prajna Shiva Kalidasa was born as Clifford Nelson Alford, and was apprenticed in Cherokee Medicine from the age of five by his maternal grandmother for fourteen years. His great grandmother assisted in that process for three years until her death. Prajna then apprenticed with others in the Asaga Medicine Society for another eleven years, which resulted in his being declared to be an Adawehas (Cherokee Spiritual Leader and Sexual Healer), and has pursued every opportunity to study and train with other Shamans in shamanic, sexual healing and empowerment methods from all over the world. His name in the Asaga was Stone Heart until his main teacher died when he received a new name of Henowetak which translates as "The Strange Man".

Traditions & Progress – Flowing in Balance

    in Spirituality

Join Sharon Rainbow Eagle & Jim Graywolf - Eaglewolf - for another powerful broadcast of Healing Mirror Holders Radio on Sunday, 12/21 at 1 PM MST, 3 PM EST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time for an energetic show about a new way of energy and action – combining traditions and progress.

Some people believe that tradition and progress cancel each other out - we will talk about how those two work together in synergy & symbiosis. It's clear that in order to move on as a race we need to let go of the any negative emotions from past experiences that held us back and may still hold us back.  Traditions are all about the experiences and teachings that did not hold us back, but allowed us to work with all of creation on Earth.

Progress need not be a lack of tradition either; we will elaborate about what is progress and its importance to our flourishing. Progress and tradition hand in hand now - we invite YOU to share some of the traditions from all around the worlds' medicine wheel.

As Spirit Twins, Sharon & Jim constantly work on a balance that is being reflected by Mother Earth and Father Sky. Tradition and science being combined. This makes relation-shifts now important more than ever! And so, we ask you, Healing Mirror Holders, spirit families, to help us to learn more about those changes and to be able to bring those teachings for those who are ready for the next generations. After all, we are all one!

    We will see you soon.

Violet ReikiRadio - Let's talk about Shirushi

    in Health

    Shirushi: What’s their importance?

The Shirushi (Reiki symbols) indeed do have their function. They do their ‘thing’ when used both during local and distance healing, as well as attunements. Choku Rei, Seiheiki, Hon sha ze sho nen and Dai Ko Myo are the four traditional symbols used within the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki. There are however other reiki branches which uses the same symbols such as Jikiden Reiki. Other Reiki traditions such as the Raku Kei Reiki uses symbols such as Raku, Fire Serpent and more.

The four traditional reiki symbols are not as secret as they are sacred. Using the Dai Ko Myo as example: It is made up by general Kanjis which are supposed to be known by fourth grade primary school students! It is not a symbol in and by itself, but when used in proper context it allows for the attunement process to take place.

The HSZSN symbol is another form of kanji, albeit stylized, which are known by primary school students as well. Nothing super secret there, huh? Used in proper context – this symbol is used for distance healing, as the initiating symbol to create a connection to the client.

Choku Rei and Sei Hei ki symbols have traces back to the Kurama Kokyo Sect (buddhism) as well as shinto practices, as symbol for a specific deity. This is not unlike the Makoto no kokyo ho meditation which uses the sun mudra nichirin-in during it’s second last part, forming a triangle infront of ones forehead before vibrating sancript OM, or as it is a japanese version – ON on the exhale.

The ‘symbols’ are abstract things, not having overly much power or importance by themselves. But they are part of the usui shiki ryoho tradition, and cannot be explained by words. It is said that they have to be experienced.

From Darkness to Light: Curse of the Cross

    in Religion

It is said that symbols are a language that connects us to our hidden past; but is this a past worthy of remembrance? Especially in consideration that nearly every religious symbol which has endured till present day was created in honor of a pagan god or in representation of some aspect of nature. The Biblical Israelites were forbidden by God to create or worship any image or symbol graven by man. How then is it that many of these ancient symbols have found an enduring home in the Judeo-Christian traditions throughout the world? Most of the world would readily recognize and identify the Cross as the true symbol of Christianity. And for the nearly two billion Christians on the planet the Cross is a representation of the life, suffering and sacrifice of Jesus for the redemption of sins. But even Christianity’s most beloved and recognized symbol has origins steeped in witchcraft, divination, astrology and the worship of the heavenly bodies. Are symbols forever and intrinsically linked to their primordial origin? Or is the meaning of a symbol given by the individual holder with no consideration of its origin? Join us today for another installment of “From Darkness to Light” as we use the words of the Holy Bible to reveal the sign of the Cross as a forgery and the doctrine of a false Christ!

We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thur 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am.  All times are Eastern Standard Time.
