Tom is one of “North” children, who together with the Beardsley children, became the family which was featured in the 1968 film, “Yours, Mine and Ours” starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda, and again in the 2005 version starring Rene Russo and Dennis Quaid. But, it wasn’t one big happy family as the movie depicted.

Inspiration of the Day
“A great burden was lifted from my shoulders the day I realized that no one owes me anything.”
Author, Investment Analyst and Politician
So Now What?
Maybe you feel ripped off by life because of a crappy childhood, lost marriage, bad job, lack of financial success. Your parents owe you, your spouse owes you, your kids owe you, your boss owes you, your customers owe you.
Believing somebody owes you something can breed resentment.
I looked “resentment” up in the dictionary.
Some synonyms for “resentment” include: hate, anger, bitterness, annoyance, grudge, fury, rage, irritation, wrath, and hurt.
Some antonyms for “resentment” include: happiness, joy, calm, affection, comfort, cheer, kindness and love.
It’s your choice.
And now maybe Harry Browne’s quote makes even more sense: “A great burden was lifted from my shoulders the day I realized that no one owes me anything.”

Grit is the sequel to the critically acclaimed novel The Vig by Author John M. Nuckel.
John Nuckel has worked in the financial industry for over thirty years and has met enough character to fill many books.
The Vig; The Beginning of the most corrupt decade in the history of Wall Street was a good time to steal a little bit of money from a lot of people. Frank McGinley, a trading floor specialist with a fondness for vodka, uncovers a scam to skim money from traders accounts and accepts forty grand to look the other way. He has no idea he's landed in the middle of an ongoing federal investigation of a Ponzi schemer turned violent. The Vig is the story about the seamy side of Wall Street rarely seen by the public.

GRIT follows Carla and Frank McGinley as they try to mend their damaged souls. One seeks revenge, the other redemption. As they careen towards their inevitable confrontation, a pretty lounge singer, a St. Louis gangster, a drug dealer and a pompous hedge fund manager are left in their wake. GRIT will determine who will finally be free and who will have to live with the knowledge of what they have become. This novel was written by a true Wall Street insider. As a former hedge fund broker and partner in a risk arbitrage firm, he has known the sinners and saints in the industry. The best and worst of them have one thing in common: GRIT.

"my Domestic Violence Survival story. This time I would like to tell the story, but include my fundraiser" as well.
There are many legs of the journey we go as a survivor and sometimes that does include asking for help in various ways, incuding some level of financial assisance. We will take a look at her needs and what the financial assistance may look for her.
It's a story of inspiration and hope that we hope you will join us and help her to share her voice with others to make a difference.
For more voices and ways to share your voice, also go to http://facebook.com/DomesticViolenceVoices. If you are interested in also sharing your story on my radio show, please submit your request to http://goo.gl/forms/rqo8jg28j1.

Congress is elected, passes laws of economic repression (bent on controlling the class systems that exist within race and geographical location), and leaves many in the repetitive cycle of paycheck-to-paycheck living. With the Republicans gaining power in Congress, we are almost guaranteed another war and higher prices. How does one coexist with a system designed to stagnate their very existence? Can a successful melanin-enriched economic base arise from the smog of despair and frustration of what lies ahead?
Enter the concept of Disrespectful Economics...the conscious refusal to invest in black-owned businesses, the pursuit of all things Polo and Michael Kors, the overindulgence of good times and robotic thinking...We sabotage our own efforts of self-sustainability by failing to realize the power of uniting the melanin dollar.
Join Finance powerhouses RoD Jones and returning host Mr. Derrick Jacks of All Trades as we discuss the mental roadblocks that prohibit people of color fom building successful economic bases and ways that small changes in spending can lead to eventual financial freedom.
Tune in 8 pm E/ 7 pm C.
Money isn’t important to God, but because it’s important to us, He greatly uses it to accomplish His purposes for us—dependence, healing and exposing our flesh. If cooking was the most important thing to us, cooking would be what the Lord used the most to get our attention.
For those on the receiving end of true (Life-giving) ministry, though the Lord will honor and care for His ministers, that doesn’t let you off the hook. Because every minister has bills to pay, if that minister or ministry has shared what the Lord has given them, and you have received it, you are obligated to respond in kind, regardless of whether you are supporting other ministries, churches or charitable organizations.
One of the reasons there is a lack of Present, Immediate, Applicable Truth and Power from the Lord (and there is an incredible, unnecessary lack), is because so many of those who know how to depend on the Lord and are willing and able to share it, are instead working at secular jobs (or in religious organizations) just to meet their natural financial obligations, or have been forced to resort to using secular marketing techniques to support their ministry, watering down their message, to gain commercially what was meant to be given gratefully. Often those who are assigned by the Lord to be supporting true ministers, but have not heard or responded to the Lord, are nickeling and diming every passing donation plate, or “dining without paying for their meal.”
Likewise, if the Lord decides that the task He has for you requires you to be unencumbered by an occupation, He is responsible for your compensation. If you look to the people you’re ministering to, or to your finances for support and motivation, you’ve kicked God off the throne of your self-life in favor of the security of the control of your livelihood...which may very well be part of the lesson He’s trying to teach you.
