What are the benefits and issues with this approach?
Does this require technology or are there strategies that transcend the use of technology?
How does this integration fit in a world of high stakes assessment?
How can a content developer take advantage of this strategy to improve their existing and new products?

Loving Myself Enterprises Radio Show Welcomes Educator, Dr. Gail Hayes

    in Motivation

If you don’t agree, just ask any parent, teacher, or anyone else who works with them. Like adults, children can change the atmosphere wherever they go. Their attitudes, personalities, and actions influence the world around them in a positive or negative way.

The importance of Character Value Education and its impact on behavior is paramount when it comes to children. When we combine Character Education with Reading, Writing, and Speaking, children can become powerful communicators in word, thought, and deed. By helping children to tell and write their stories they are able to see themselves and valuable community members.

Through our programs, we want to help them find their voice and then sing their life’s song in the chorus of community harmony. We let children know that they can accomplish anything they desire as long as they use their words and their power responsibly.

    Boston's Ubiquitous Redhead

    in Politics Progressive

From fellow pols to constituents, everyone in Boston seems to love Matt O'Malley. The City Councilor for the West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain neighborhoods (and smidgens of two others) will be on again with us.

He is indefatigable and seems to0 appear everywhere. We'll likely touch on many subjects. He has strong opinions on the city's 2024 Olympics bid and in other sports is likely to talk underinflated footballs. We've had big shifts in the Mayor's office and the police force. He can tell us what he sees there. For some folk, the topics might but mundane, but he heads the city's Environment and Parks Committee and co-chairs the Education one. He has driven the likes of recycling and composting to make Boston cleaner and greener. We'll ask about those and what he sees with the search for a new schools super.

In short, if you want to know that is happening, will happen or should happen in Boston, start with Matt.

The Ever Shrinking Personal Computer - How Small Can They Go

    in Internet

Being a sci-fi buff, I thing about technology a lot. I  imagine how it will affect our lives, what will it mean for business, commerce, education, travel and yes watching your favorite sci-fi video episode. Well recently my eye was caught by a head line that read, “HP Launches Stream Mini and Pavilion Mini Affordable Compact PCs”. These computers are small, they can fit on the palm of your hand. I immediately sent a picture of the computer to my partner Carl Weiss with the subject line saying "that soon we will be able to make anything a smart devices". Carl wrote me back saying he’s got Topper wear bigger than this new PC. And this bring up the most important question. Just how small can functional computer go in the next five year? Peppermint box size? Match box size? Button size? In this article I will explore the ever shrinking personal computer, how they will be used and where they will take us. So strap yourself in and turn on "Honey I Shrunk the Kids", so that you and I can find the limits (if any) to the ever shrinking personal computer.
