JUDGE RIPS COLORADO DISTRICT ATTORNEY, VETERANS GET SCREWED AGAIN (missed last show)
Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX continues teaching from 1 Kings 19 about the prophet Elijah. In 1 Kings 18:46 it says, "Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel." It was at this point that the attack began to come upon his life. The attack came to steal his destiny in the word of God. In Psalms 2:1-3 it says, "Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,And distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.””
The enemy can come against us, but God laughs. When the devil attacks the annointed of God, he who sits in the heavens laughs. We can laugh with God. The battle is not yours, the battle is the Lord's. We have to walk in love and mercy and rely on the Lord. As we show love and mercy, God will show love and mercy to us. Walk humbly before God. There is one river, but there are many streams. Everybody has a portion.
Pastor Brad continues teaching from 1 Kings 19. Listen carefully to the teaching of the Lord in these verses. He is Lord and He is our friend. He will stick closer than a brother!

The famous biographer, James Parton, once referred to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as "Hell with the lid off", but today the city is vibrant, colorful and celebrated.
The Senator John Heinz History Center traces its roots back to 1879, making it the oldest cultural institution in Western Pennsylvania. The museum and research facility presents over 250 years of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania life and it’s quest for storytelling is supported by the affiliation with the Smithsonian Institution. On a recent visit to Pittsburgh we sat down with Brady Smith from the History Center, who shared how Western Pennsylvania helped author some of America’s most compelling historical stories.
Pittsburgh was a main destination of the African-American Great Migration and that southern exodushern exodus produced a cultural mecca in the Hill District. The community inspired playwrights, musicians and Hollywood as it was the setting for the television series “Hill Street bBues”. Marimba Milliones from the Hill Community Development Corporation tells us that remnants of the Hill District’s cultural mosaic during it’s hey-days from 1920 to the 1940s, can be seen today in landmarks that once housed synagogues and other places of worship, and in the architecture of some of the historic structures that accent the community.
Built in 1907 along the Monongahela River, Carrie Furnaces 6 and 7 still stand tall and they offer a rare look into early 19th century iron-making technology. Since the collapse of Pittsburgh’s steel industry in the 1980s, the Carrie Furnaces remain the only non-operative blast furnaces in the area.

Words have power. Power to uplift or defeat, which is the fundamental ideology each Toastmaster understands and beliefs. Therefore from the moment we decide to attend a meeting; then boldly step up to the podium to speak, we choose our words wisely to ensure we convey a message of empowerment. This allows each member to become effective communicators and leaders, the mission of Toastmasters. A mission our upcoming guest Toastmaster Ron Champman understands. Ron is committed to helping those with aspirations of “Stretching one’s speaking skills,” through mentorship and coaching. Ron, who will be our keynote speaker Friday, November 13, 2015 at District 44's 2015 Fall Conference, will sit down with us and share his outlook on what it takes to become the best Toastmaster you can be.
