Our minds can definitely act as sponges, soaking up all the stimuli around us - conversations we listen to, books we read, the television and movies we watch, the webpages we browse, and the music we listen to.  The question is, are we pouring in those things that are most profitable to our spiritual life?  How strategic are we concerning what we allow to fill our thoughts? Is the Word of God a filter through which all things must pass before they are allowed in our minds or is it merely another stimulus we occasionally partake of?

    In his own words:


     " I started my martial arts training in 1982. I took numerous arts for a period of 1-2 years each trying to find my niche in the arts. 1 1/2 years Okinawan Goju Ryu under Sensei Tom Haggerty, 1 year of Bei Koku Aibujutsu Ryu under Soke dai John Douvillier, 2 years Hung gar Shaolin Kung Fu under Sifu Ricky Choi Leturia. In 2003 I began training in Eclectic Warrior Arts , A combination of several schools of Wing Chun & Pekiti Tirsia Kali, earning a black sash from Sibak Keith Hibdon in 1998. From 1996 to present I've been training in the art of American Kenpo Bu-jutsu under Professor Ron Bradbury. I currently hold the rank of Godan(5th degree black belt). I have just recently started training in the art of Lua under Kumu Lua Tim Mcguire although have not achieved rank in this system as to date."
