Meet author Richard Tiller. Richard will be chatting with me about his book, Tough Conversations with the Heart of Jesus.
About the book:
If you will ever have to face another tough conversation, this book was written for you. Tough Conversations with the Heart of Jesus offers a Biblical perspective on how to anticipate and engage in these encounters in a way that will achieve the best results for everyone involved. The key to success in tough conversations lies in the heart. Skills are important, too, but if you have the right heart for tough conversations, the skills come more easily. Jesus shows the right heart for tough conversations. The biggest obstacle to success in tough conversations is fear. Eliminating fear changes everything. Jesus shows how to replace fear with courage, anxiety with calm, weakness with strength, insecurity with confidence, and pessimism with optimism. Tough conversations have been some of the most difficult challenges that human civilization has faced throughout history.
Candice Witek is a married Health Coach, breast cancer survivor and mother of 3. Candice owned her own interior design business and life was sailing along until she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer at age 34.
Having just had her third baby months earlier and with 2 small children also at home, getting cancer turned her world upside down. Candice was determined to take control of her future! In taking back control, she realized that the food she ate, her mental wellness, and exercise were things she could control, when so much was out of control in her fight against cancer.
Candice fought through a double mastectomy, reconstruction, months of chemotherapy and ongoing hormone therapy. During this difficult time, by focusing on healthy eating, mental wellness and exercise to beat cancer, she unintentionally lost weight, improved her health and has never felt or looked better!
This incredible journey led Candice to rethink her career and pursue the world of health coaching in order to help others, particularly women, overcome challenges and acquire good solid health and mental happiness. Candice is currently attending a certification program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and plans to begin seeing clients in the Spring 2015.
Until then, you can support Candice by following her blog and watching her evolve on social media. Follow her blog to enjoy her witty articles and delicious recipes. Ashley remembers thinking when she was a kid, “wow… I bet it would be fun to make people laugh as your job.” Originally from California’s East Bay Area, she began studying music at a young age, playing piano in sonata competitions.
After graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in voice and experience performing with Opera Santa Barbara, it was not a difficult decision to make the move to New York City. Ashley performs all over the Big Apple, be it singing or acting.
She has enjoyed traveling the world as a singer on board a six-star cruise ship and is thrilled now to be back in New York.
Integrating Women of the Bible with Women Today 22 November 2014 - Job's Wife
We women today need to understand what God's plan is for us in today's society. God is NOT difficult. We need to understand the women of the Bible, their trials and the understanding of the Virtuous Woman in Proverbs. God is real and we are his tangible testimonies. Let's prepare ourselves to live according to the scriptures of God's Holy Word.

Recognizing the Challenges of Leadership
November 15, 2014 – Round Table Discussion @ 8pm Chicago Time
If there weren’t challenges, we’d have little need for leaders.
For leaders everywhere, some challenges are unique and temporary, but many others are common and ongoing.
Organizations today place multiple demands on leaders, requiring them to impart vision, initiate change, and make difficult decisions.
The challenges of leadership are inside leaders. Stop blaming organizations and others for your shortfalls and failures.
"Take the bull by the horns. You are the bull."
You not situations:
Leadership challenges always involve changing situations. You, however, are the common factor. Your ability to lead yourself is your greatest ability.
"Situations come and go but you are always there."
Part 2: Making decisions and choosing wisely
1. The Spirit leads us with the strength to make right choices
2. God opens doors, yet gives us the freedom to walk through them

Most of us at some point in our lives know what its like to weep and mourn. Matt 5:4 is indeed a reasuring verse that's packed with truth. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." That tells me that God cares when we are hurting, afflicted and going through great pain or loss. Do you at times however, find yourself running away from the hurt, not wanting to experience it because its just simply too much to bear. There are many of you that find yourself in a place of despair and depression and have lost your joy. Its too difficult to go through Thanksgiving and Christimas because it just reminds you of the loss of your loved one. You do not have to go through this alone. And His love and grace touches us right where we are in our suffering and pain, and hears our cry. For He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

Tonight's special guest is Brittney Bray, a returning NAASCA family member from New Jersey. A survivor of child abuse who was removed from her family as a teen, she was eventually able to take advantage of the CASA SHaW facility in Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties, and is now enjoying life in recovery. At the age of 15 she was taken away from her family due to her parents' drug abuse and her father's physical abuse towards her. She experienced about 8 different placements from the age of 15 till the age of 16. She was involved with many organizations, including the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). At the age of 17 she had her first child. At 18 she married the baby's father and became independent. After her son was born, she was faced with opposition from the child welfare system which did not believe she could succeed as a mother. CASA SHaW was there to support and defend her, helping her to retain custody of her baby. Brittney says, "I have tried to make the best from my difficult past. I am thankful to CASA for continuing to be supportive to me. Today I am 23, I live in my own home, I have 2 healthy and happy children, and I have been happily married for 5 years. I work, and I am planning to go back to school. My parents are in my life, and the relationship I have with them is stronger than ever now. We've all made it to the other side of a bad time."
