The Smoking Glass Hour with Baron Glass

    in Social Networking

    7:30 PM -

Haley Ellerbe is 18 years old a senior at Caldwell Parish High School. She has been riding since she was 10 years old. Her first horse was an 8 year old grade mare.

Haley learned to ride and basic horseman ship skills on her. Haley began to attend the Columbia play days and competed in all events. She won all around cowgirl her second year of riding and also won the cowboy extreme challenge when she was 12 years old.

Then it was time to upgrade and my mom bought me my first true barrel horse a 6 year old bay mare when I was 13. Her name was Fancy. I junior high rodeo for one year and decided I like jackpot barrel runs and local rodeos better.

Fancy was good at her job but I had out grown her and my mom bought me my true love. A flea bit grey gelding name Flash like Jack aka Speckles. He and I have won the teenage youth and open barrel division for the last 3 years in the Northeast Louisiana Rodeo Association.

I have 16 belt buckles and my biggest check from chasing cans is $890 for a 16 second run.

Speckles usually runs in the 1d or 2d division at jackpot barrel runs. He has his own unique way of chasing cans. He slides in on his back end and digs out with his front end. Believe me if you aren't holding the saddle horn when he turns you will go right off his back end. I love this horse. He gives his all whether he is sore from a long weekend of running or from being out of shape. This horse will never have another home. He is spoiled and loves to eat French Fries, and butter cookies.

8:30 PM - Join us as we discuss The Drug War, Mass Incarceration and Race. How it continues to destroy communities across the Country.

A Better Person For President Is On Blog Talk Radio At 5:30pm - Curtis Clinton

    in Elections

he Title says it all. Why. It makes sense. I come from your place, or very close to it, Even if we are at odds we are closer than others. I am not campaigning for your money, am not a Politician, will be among the best smart Commander-In-Chiefs, even protecting our military men and women. What are your problems or worries. They are many of mine because many of them touch me or have touched me, touched my family and people we know and don’t know. I know an unknown person has no chance to be seen by you. I know that its stupid to do this, and it even looks more stupid. But it’s not that stupid when you consider all the stupid things that are going on right now or that have just happened. Please see me in a better smart light. I say things that you may not like or want to hear. But they are for our own good, I must say them and bring them to light and right. There are some faulty people running for President. I am not one of them. I am one of us, if you can understand that in all its fullness. I know that when you get in the White House, things change. But I will be mind-fast heart-fast soul-fast honest-fast truth-fast. If you are a person I want better for you. If you are an animal I want better for you. If you are the earth I want better for you. The White House belongs to you, not to a Political Party but a person of the people, ordinary if necessary. I am Curtis Clinton, in fact, a better Clinton. If you see it that way, could you and will you put together 120,000,000 Write-In Ballots for a Presidency being for us, with just one of us in there seeing to a better United States and for Americans with blood types of O's, A's and B's. If that many are cast, we will not have a divided country or Congress. One caring willing doing person can start a better world. You can begin with such a President. I am here for you. This is not for me. thanks, bwell, c2it, i am c2 and Curt Clinton

Through the Eye's of a Sibling; Autism Spectrum Disorder

    in Health

The Two Trees is a poignant story that gives a glimpse into the difficulties of having a high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) child in the family. As told from a sibling perspective, it is both an exploration and celebration of brotherly love despite challenging circumstances, metaphorically reflected in the growth of two trees planted at the beginning of the story. The Two Trees is a must-read for all parents and kids, ASD families, educators, and anyone who has witnessed or felt the sting of being left out, bullied, or misunderstood.

Join me on The Keep It Moving Blog Talk Radio Show with special guest Sally Meadows, singer, song writer, author and more importantly a mother. Hear her experiences raising 2 boys and the story behind her new childrens book The Two Trees.

What is Pregnancy Awareness Month? Guest: PAM Co-founder Alisa Donner

    in Lifestyle

When I first shared about going on TV to promote Pregnancy Awareness Month, I had people calling my radio station with a bit of a laugh in their voice, saying: Women don’t KNOW they are pregnant?

Haha (Well, the real answer is: You would be surprised! I have some stories for you! But that's a whole different kind of reality TV show, for another time.)

Tonight my guest is a dear ally in motherhood, greener living, & better living though education & community. Alisa Donner joins me to explain what Pregnancy Awareness Month is & how she, along with her partner Anna Getty, have grown this thriving organization from the ground up.

Find out how you can get involved & be a part of PAM in your own area. Find out who Alisa's awesome friends are that have contributed greatly to making PAM a success & learn how she puts together such a huge event in LA every year for the past 8 years.

We'll also name drop a few of our favorite brands & the parenting experts that will appear at this Sunday's PAM event.

I'm honored to be on the Advisory Team and to be Hosting this amazing day at Bergamont Station with friend Jill Simonian. Bring the kids & even the hubby (there is stuff for Dad too). I hope to see you there. Spread the good word! Follow PAM on Twitter.

Get more info & your FREE tickets on my blog here. And we'll come back here next Monday for another show. As always, please leave your topic suggestions & comments below. Gonna be a big week! XO- Kristin
