Art historian and genealogist Deborah Child joins Jane today to talk about her book Soldier Engraver Forger: Richard Brunton's Life on the Fringe in America's New Republic. Find out how art history and genealogy were used to tell the story of 18th century counterfeiter Richard Brunton -- a deserter from the British Army during the Revolutionary War and one of the first makers of engraved family history registers. Deborah will talk about how she researched Brunton's life and his work as an engraver and painter.

Dr. Chaps reports on these important issues:
* A councilman in Virginia prays in Jesus’ Name after being banned for years.
* The Supreme Court rules 9-0 that a UN treaty is not binding on American citizens.
* Was Sgt. Bergdahl a deserter and why did Obama trade 5 terrorists?
Another day, another lawless act by the Obama regime, this time the release of five Gitmo detainees in exchange for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held in Afghanistan since June 30, 2009. Was Sgt. Bergdahl actually captured, or, as some strong evidence suggests, did he willingly walk away from duty? Does that matter? Does it matter that, once again, Barack Obama violated a duly-enacted Congressional statute, which requires that he give 30 days notice to Congress prior to transferring prisoners from Gitmo. The One acknowledges that he broke the law, but says it doesn't matter because he issued a signing statement when he signed the law last year, declaring the notification unconstitutional. And he should know, of course, as a "former Constitutional law professor," right? Ok, he was an adjunct lecturer who only got into law school owing to affirmative action, but that aside, where are the screams and gnashing of teeth from those who were so outraged over Pres. George W. Bush's use of signing statements? I can't help but notice that while W asserted that he would ignore aspects of Congressional enactments to protect the American public from terrorism, B.Hussein does so to release 5 detainees deemed "high risk" in "08 to obtain the release of a guy who, three days before going missing stated in an email to his parents "“I am ashamed to be an American. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools,” he concluded. “I am sorry for everything. The horror that is America is disgusting.” I guess reading that last sentence you can see why Barack Obama has a soft spot in his heart for this guy. Jay Carney's had enough of being a paid liar for the Regime. What did Jay's successor, Josh Earnest have to do with the Benghazi coverup?
Sophie Schiller's book, Transfer Day, is a special edition of Spy Island that was written to commemorate the upcoming 100th Anniversary of Transfer Day (1917-2017). Today's date is March 31, 2015, the 98th anniversary of the original Transfer Day. The pictures in the slideshow have red and white border to commemorate The Danish flag.
Soren Jensen is a Danish journalist on a mission. He's traveling to St. Thomas to pursue a human interest story, but he's really on a personal quest to uncover secrets about his own family's past. The story concerns an old woman named Abigail Maduro, who claimed on her deathbed to have averted a German takeover of the Danish West Indies during WWI.
While investigating the story, Soren meets up with Claire Lehman, Abigail's granddaughter, who shares her grandmother's diary with Soren, which transports them both back to 1916 with its intriguing tale of spies, saboteurs, a mad voodoo queen, and a lonely deserter from a German U-boat who desperately tries to escape his past. During one fateful night, Soren learns the explosive truth about his own family's past, and how everybody's life was changed forever on one fateful day: Transfer Day.
Word's out that Obama's snubbed NATO's new commander, while at the same time expressing continued satisfaction he traded Taliban leaders to bring suspected deserter Beau Bergdahl home. Each of these should questions about Obama's commitment to his role as America's Commander in Chief.
Meanwhile, Obama's still hot and heavy to cut a deal with Iran to allow its nuclear program to move forward even as Iran warns Saudi Arabia to back off as Iranian aligned rebels fight to tighten their grip just to the south of Saudi in Yemen.
Exactly whose side is Obama on?
So many potential flashpoints. Where do things go from here?
Odds are, it's not good.

It’s Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 and Debbie Barth and her elite panel of ladies are back! It’s another episode of what happens when five head-strong, politically minded, out-spoken, individuals get together for some “girl-talk”. Only … this isn’t your usual “girl-talk.”
Join us today as Debbie Barth has her opinion concerning President Obama’s request to Congress for military force against ISIS. Is he planting the seeds for strong military action, with a winning strategy … or just laying down artificial turf?
Sandy Estlow will be giving her thoughts and opinions concerning the ongoing case of Bowe Bergdahl: prisoner-of-war, deserter or collaborator? Does the effect of war and what it does to the human flight or fight syndrome have any merit in this case?
Eileen Brown will address Secretary Jeh Johnson, Department of Homeland Security, and his threatening letter to US sheriffs. Is it justified or purely adulterated … extortion? What else don’t we know?
Linda Alexander reflects on the recent events with Brian Williams. Has his “misremembrance” sent a message of how value the “truth” in the story is over the “adventure” in the story. This is one story that Williams hopes everyone will forget.
Bea Kunz will be joining us at the latter part of the show with her comments.

It's Friday night, and of course, that means, Live from the AltCon Studios at Casa de Hammy...we are Getting Hammered!! Tonight, Stevie J West is out sick so Jodi and Di, two of the lovely ladies from The Red Whine Show here on AltConRadio, have agreed, under much duress, to join me as co-hosts for tonight’s show. Good for you, bad for them (I owe them BIG time for this).
So, what we learned this week: The Taliban not terrorists (apparently), Bergdahl not a deserter (apparently), Romney is not gonna be president (apparently), and the Jordanians are (apparently) the only country that actually knows how to "negotiate" with terrorists. Plus, we'll talk about the 1rst amendment, yeah, the "establishment" clause part, the part everybody screws up? You know the one, should be, um, interesting :)
So grab a cold one and join us at the bar...it's Friday Night and we are Getting Hammered!
The releasing of al Qaida prisoners back into the wild for a deserter, releaswing Cuban murderer's back to Cuba, the Left's "Torture Report" and now Sony Pictures cancels their new movie "The Interview". Granted the movie looks really bad and I was especially alarmed that they would even try and suggest that the N. Korean dictator is a "Nice Guy", even for only one line, is Unacceptable. We do not paint our enemies as "Nice Guys" . . . PERIOD. Yes, his butterball head explodes at the end, which might make this movie a little interesting . . . for a brief second or two. However, for us as American's, we do not give into terrorist threats of any kind. Yes, we take them seriously, but to give in to their demands is surrendering to the enemy. Shame on you Sony Pictures, one for making a really stupid movie, and second for cowering to our enemy. That's treason in my book!
Tune in every weeknight at 8:00pm to 10:00pm to hear The Captain unlock his treasure chest of opinions and ideas, facing all matters of Constitutional Freedom.
