SORT BY Relevancy
Ryan and Mike will settle your mind. The MA Dems went to the state party convention in Worcester. Everything ws settled (as in official nominees emerged) and nothing was settled (as in the per-office primaries still contested). Plus the guvernatorial nominee is not the heavy favorite in polling against Dem, GOP and indy candidates.
TBD is the acronym for 2014 September and November.
We've had many of the hopefuls here (check our archives). Hey, we also have our opinions, both expert and gut.
We'll try to sort out Grossman (governor endorsee) v. Coakley (poll favorite) v. Berwick (progressive's delight) v. the others. (Don't leave off McCormick, our all-time show-listen leader.) This will be great political theater this season.
The down ballot, particularly the attorney general, will be at least as spirited (you can listen to both Healey and Tolman here).
We'll do our best to sort out the tangled skein for you.
Suing the president is an alltime low for the GOP. This is a fight that the DEMS want. It's great for business and recruitment. The President at a small meeting the several days aday starts off the show.
From now till election day Down South and Dirty will be discussing current events and how they play in the upcoming elections. We will do a Foreign Policy Segment in the first 15mins, then a National Segment the 2nd 15min, after that we will focus on Georgia Events in the 3rd 15min, Then will have an open segement to close the show out. Hope to have you listen in and provide feed back.
Obama, the Dems and Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison admit they don't want people to work, and that the gift of ObamaCare is people can work part time in stread of full time.
The GOP side is being accused of stalling in their efforts to solve the border issue. The Democrats are taking the wrap of wanting to give away the farm and sending out the Welcome Wagon. What ever the case, whoever is at blame the fact remains the crisis continues. The flood of illegal aliens is flooding the border states while at the same time draining manpower and resources that should be used in preventing the flood itself.
Both sides of the House have submitted bills for increased funds (both riddled with issues unexceptible to the other).
President Obama continues to be in the background watching the tennis match in Congress.
Who will win this game?
Will there be a winner?

Scottish independence fails by a narrow margin, Braveheart inconsolable; Democrats don't want another war, but they do want us to know they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night; Why not disincentivize corporate tax inversion instead of driving them deeper "underground"?; As Ebola overruns Sierra Leone and Guinea, Obama mobilizes his military machine to come down with it and bring it over here - and tuberculosis, too; "The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming"; The House Select Benghazi Archeological Committee finally convenes; Democrats intensify the war against their REAL enemies; Has Debbie Wasserman-Schlutz finally worn out her welcome at the DNC?; The Dems' kabuki street theater of "hiding from Obama"; and the growing Islamic Caliphate Includes America.
Tonight's topics with our Capitol Hill expert Elizabeth Letchworth...
The House today voted to authorize aid to Syrian rebels fighting ISIS, 273-156
The House Select Committee on Benghazi heard testimony from Homeland Security and Secret Service officials on the implementation of the Accountability Board’s recommendations following the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi.
The Senate has set the date for returning for the lame-duck session which will begin the day after Veterans Day. Reid announced that the Dems will hold their orientation and the Democratic leadership elections for the next Congress Nov. 12 through Nov. 14. What exactly is the process by which a Senate majority leader and House speaker are elected?
Mid-Nov could very well be too early to know which party controls the Senate if LA is a close contest with no candidate getting 51%. That means a December run-off between the top two vote getters.
We'll recap the Massachusetts party [primaries and risk humiliation predicitng the campaigns, then results for November's general. The previous day's preimary may settle all, or nearly all, Democratic contests. Now the fun begins.
The GOP pretty much sat out the primary with no contested races beyond Governor, only five statewide candidates, and mostly blank ballot lines. Dems in contrast had three battling for most slots.
Republicans play delusion cards. Dems far outnumber them (not really true, as over half the electorate does not enroll in any party), Republ;ican Governor/LG are essential to holding wildly lefty Dems in check (so-so, with many in both houses here fiscally conservative and hard sells on legislation). The GOP can't fill their tickets because they are at such political disadvantage (not so, as half our Governors have been Republican, the GOP has as much and often more campaign cash, they make little effort to convert the unenrolled to their party, and they have weak recruiting efforts for candidates for office).
We'll talk results and futures. We expect two months of big platform and policy distinctions. We'll predict how dirty the ads and claims will be and what should make the differences in the final.
Dave Bego, CEO, entrepreneur and author or The Devil at Our Doorstep gains his expertise in union related issues from his actual firsthand experience while waging war with Andy Stern and the SEIU from late 2006 until the present day.
Unlike other corporate executives who either compromise their core values and cave in to union demands, or those who simply talk about what it would be like to face financial disaster based on fighting back against one of the most powerful unions in existence today, the author has lived the experience while under attack from Stern and his union thugs.
For more than 32 months and counting, he has had the courage to stand up for what he believes in, protecting his employees at all costs against loss of their freedom to vote in “secret ballot” elections with no threat of repercussion from those who may disagree with their choice as to whether unionization is proper. Despite damage to his reputation and EMS’s, the author has managed thus far to survive the SEIU onslaught and emerge with integrity intact.
Move along, Republicans. There's not much to see in your primary on 9/9/ Dems, on the other hand, hie to the polls and come prepared with your choices. For the GOP, only the Governor slot is contested, and most statewide slots have no Republican offerings. For Democrats nearly every office is, most with three candidates.
Of course, we'll talk about the virtually certain Charlie Baker for team elephant and who is likely to go against him. Besides the Democrat, there'll be multiple independent candidates. Evan Falchuk is the outlier here; his new United Independent Party is not yet recognized by the commonwealth as a party.
Dems also have rousing battles for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and Treasurer, as well as some further down-ballot offices. Check our archives here or at Left Ahead for interviews.
