    Climate Action with Russell Greene

    in Politics Progressive

Russell's guests are Rev. Lennox Yearwood and RL Miller.

Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., President and CEO of the Hip Hop Caucus, is a minister, community activist and one of the most influential people in Hip Hop political life. He works tirelessly to encourage the Hip Hop generation to utilize its political and social voice.

In 2010 he was named one of the 100 most powerful African Americans by Ebony Magazine, and one of the 10 Game Changers in the Green movement by the Huffington Post. In 2008, Rev Yearwood created the Hip Hop Caucus’ “Respect My Vote!” campaign with celebrity spokespeople T.I. and Keyshia Cole, which turned out record numbers of young people on Election Day.

RL Miller blogs on climate; founded SuperPAC Climate Hawks Vote to elect - and hold accountable - politicians who prioritize the climate challenge; is elected chair of California Democratic Party’s Environmental Caucus; and practices law and keeps chickens. Climate Hawks Vote hatched in June 2014, made 17 endorsements in primaries and general election races in 2014, and won at least 10 - a very positive record made possible through its emphasis on fieldwork rather than big-spending ads.

How Will the Death of King Abdullah Effect the entire World

    in The Bible

Many people debate if Psalms 83 is an actual war or just a prayer. I would love to get callers to provide their insight. For those that are not aware King Abullah of Saudi Arabia has died and has been replaced by someone that has dementia. Israel is about to have a special election over the position of Prime Minister in March. For him to lose this election would be terrible. However Benjamin Netanyahu will win because it has been revealed to many people who have the gift of prophecy. Netanyahu is coming to the United states two weeks before the eleection will take place. President Obama is refusing to meet with the Prime Minister of our biggest ally in the middle east because he doesn't want to appear to be taking sides. Meanwhile our Congress and Senate will be meeting with his to talk about the current state of Israel. He just was in a 50 day war with eliminating Hamas a group of radical muslim terrorist. One of the key leaders in Hezbollah have stated that they are ready to invade Israel all the way to the Galilee, then ISIS/IS/ISIL is surrounding Israel, Syria and the Arabian Peninsula. The have already declared a new caliphate and said they they were making their way to Jerusalem. Obama has let sanctions slide on Iran so they are building another chiller to produce more nuclear bombs. The news refuses to admit they have that capability. In addition to that a bunch of radical Islamic hippies took over Yemen. ISIL is looking to take over Mecca and they both are wanting Yemen now. Pakistan was once an ally of some sorts and have now been overtaken by radical Muslims. Most importanly Obama does go to Turkey to meet with the President and now Turkey who was once a strong ally of Israel is now saying that the United States and Israel will swim in its own blood.

Hey America, still think that nothing you do or say affect others, think again

    in Religion

Contrary to all that you were told and wish to believe, any decision you make does have an effect on others, either directly or indirectly.  So many examples of this have been used in other articles before but I still don’t think you get it so I am here to try to educate again.

Think about the laws made in our state houses and congress and please tell me how they do not affect other people.  Think about the decision that you make to speed which prevents you from stopping in time to avoid that child who closely follows that bouncing ball into the street and then tell me how your decision did not affect another.  How about this recent post by Jason Marcum which reads “the former Bengals receiver helped bring Christmas spirit to one woman who needed it most.  You may have heard about the sizable tip former Bengals receiver Chad Johnson left a lucky waitress over the weekend. The former Bengals great gave a $300 tip on a $351.92 bill, helping a woman on what he considered a "slow" Sunday. Johnson also added an "I Love You" message on the tip, too.  Apparently, his act of kindness did more than just give a lucky lady a nice tip for her troubles. Another woman who saw what Johnson did Instagram messaged him, saying that the tip and kind message prevented her from taking her own life and committing suicide”.

    in Politics

This radio show is intended for general informational and educational purposes only.  It is not intended to provide listeners with any specific and/or personal, medical, financial, legal counseling, professional service or any advice. All thoughts, views, words, conclusions and opinions expressed by the host are his own unless otherwise stated. Thanks for listening!

History, the story of mankind, continually speaks of the foibles of man’s attempts to control other men. Governments are and have been created by man to meet these ends, and governments have a long and bloodied past performance record. Man has supported the idea of government to provide organization and security in a naturally chaotic world. But, with the understanding that government is corrupt by its very nature, man now seeks for a better way, the way of a Self-Sustained Protectorate.

Today's show's topics include a discussion on immigration, taxes, law, and the problems created by the idea of government.

US Law Enforcement Now Have The Capability to "See" Through Walls...Should They?

    in Politics

Police now ‘see’ through walls and know if you’re home

The Range-R is a piece of military equipment that police are using now to check if there’s someone in a building.

The Radar-R is handheld and can detect whether there is human life inside a building.

Police forces increasingly are taking advantage of the technology behind military equipment initially designed for combat.

Sometimes, though, the police might be coy about which of these gadgets they use to protect and serve.

USA Today reports that, for a couple of years now, some police forces have been using a device that can determine whether a building is occupied — without having to enter the premises. However, this information only came to light when a police officer at a suppression hearing in a Denver court said that he’d used a Range-R.

Where does our outrage meet the challenge of change?

“Sankofa” teaches us that we must go back to our roots in order to move forward. That is, we should reach back and gather the best of what our past has to teach us, so that we can achieve our full potential as we move forward. Whatever we have lost, forgotten, forgone, or been stripped of can be reclaimed, revived, preserved, and perpetuated.
