When selecting the best candidates to work for your organization, never judge a book by its cover. In a highly competitive job market, individuals are more likely to embellish or hide certain aspects of their histories. As a result, human resource professionals and hiring managers across the country rely on accurate and in-depth background screening reports for applicants and potential employees.
Donna McQueen is the founder of For the Record, Inc., a pre-employment and background screening company. Since its establishment in 1997, For The Record Inc. has provided a variety of pre-employment and background screening services, both nationally as well as internationally, to assist with the critical process of employment evaluation and selection.
“We’re the right size for the right size company,” says McQueen. “When someone becomes my client, I will take care of them. I will help you through your projects and I will handle whatever challenges arise.”
For the Record uses a variety of public and proprietary sources to deliver a detailed and comprehensive report. Their dedicated support staff produces an easy-to-read report covering everything from criminal searches (both county and statewide), as well as national sex offender searches and address history searches. For the Record typically works with organizations in the fields of healthcare, staffing, construction who employ between 50-75 people. Such organizations will typically run background screenings for every single applicant.
“This has always been rather fascinating to me,” says McQueen. “Even though I go about it the same way, it’s never the same name. I have to stay on my toes, be accurate, concentrate and know what I’m doing. My clients appreciate the personal approach I take with each of them and I still have clients from when I first started 18 years ago. That’s very humbling.”

Recently hit $1 Million In Combined Earnings with North American Power. Bob said: “While it’s great that the big money can be earned here, it’s the fact that were are creating financial stability for countless numbers of people, that’s what get’s me fired up!”
“We chose the North American Power Opportunity because we saw it as a possible way out of the pressures of the publishing industry, which took deep dives during economy turmoil. I saw North American Power as a recession-proof safety net. It was another pillar of income that was in a burgeoning industry. Not everyone needs a magazine, but everyone needs electricity.”
Bob and Lisa are thrilled to have replaced their long hours of overtime with the part-time hours they put into their North American Power team. They sold their magazine of 13 years, and now enjoy more time with friends, family, and continue to have a substantial income.
“And best of all, I love what I do,” says Bob. “Helping people achieve what they want out of life, and seeing them hit their targets is, to me, one of the most rewarding things in this life. North American Power’s combination of integrity, compensation, charitable giving, and green energy made them the right company for us to hit those targets with.”

Blaize Nolynne took that literally when her dreams came into play after she graduated high school. She took her dreams of being an author to heart where she furthered her studies at the Institute of Children’s Literature, where she graduated at the top. The beginning of her career she was under penname for children’s literature, C. Araya Delvesuvio. Her first book out was ‘Sending a Message to Grandpa’ by August of 2009, which was a story about a young girl who dealt with her grandfather’s death in a very unique way. She admitted that the story was close to home, since she was very close to her Great Grandfather and was quite young when he passed.
By the end of 2012 her sequel, District One Stand By: On the Bleeding Edge of Change, was out as well as a book about terminal cancer. At the age of 24, Blaize reached for different heights in her career that she only thought were dreams in the beginning. She realized that hard work and determination had made her dreams a reality. Since the beginning of her career she has published nine books, in which ALL are now being published by publishing houses.
“District One Stand By:’ series is based upon my hometown, Standish, Maine. ‘The Captain’s Last Year, One Year to Live: Fighting the Flame and Cancer’ is based in Maine as well. There is something special about Maine that brings out my inspiration to write.” She admitted.
Proceeds of her book : ‘The Captain's Last Year: One Year to Live, Fighting the Flame and Cancer ‘ she is donating not just to cancer research, but to also help a local Maine Fire Chief, Jeff Douglass of Baldwin, Maine who is struggling with terminal cancer. She is putting part of the proceeds for his treatments.
