In a laid back lazy Sunday afternoon conversation at the Scurv Sanctuary, we shared a wonderful conversation about actor Denzel Washington which started with his outstanding role in the movie "Flight" which focused on his character's fight with drug and alcohol addiction as well as his denial to face the fact that he had a huge problem.
We spoke on how society has evolved for the worst and where we stand as a people in the year 2014.
Interesting exchange indeed and we would love to hear your feedback, thoughts and comments to continue such an important dialogue.

Is OBAMA being a SISSY costing America?
When you think of America (up until recently) what do you think of as an iconic image? Many images probably come to mind, but I would think that most if not all of these images involve strength and pride. You think of a bald eagle, John Wayne, Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, a group of Marines raising a flag at Iwo Jima or a child sitting on a curb waving a flag during a 4th of July parade. The common thread amongst all of these is strength, character, decency and a promise of a bright future.
You may not know this, but Matt-Man and Jayman are known as the Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash of BTR. HA! I'm kidding, actually they're the Don Draper and Roger Sterling of BTR. Okay, maybe not. They're the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin of BTR. What? Yeah, I guess not. The truth is they're considered the Dylan Thomas and Hunter S Thompson of BTR. Or something.
Point is Matt and Jay are fairly familiar with the drinking culture and know a few things about hangovers and how to deal with them. They've got stories galore about epic partying and epic hangovers. There are several different kinds of hangovers a person can suffer from depending on what they drank and how much. Matt and Jay have experienced them all and are here to help.
Why are we doing this? Because Matt and Jay expect to be nursing some serious hangovers (Matt more than Jay) during the show because this is Matt-Man's birthday weekend. Not just ANY birthday though. It's his 50th birthday!! OH MY GOD HE'S AN OLD MAN! Anyway, there will be serious celebrating happening on Saturday.
PLUS, it's also our Canadian Bureau Chief Jamie Mapleleaf's brithday weekend too! She'll be here to provide some much needed decency to the show. You'll also hear from the Rev Moneymaker, Guy Ahnurdyck, Drew Peacock, Stubby Stonehenge and more of the IWS Players.
PLUS YOU'RE CALLS! Call us up and wish Matt and Jamie a happy birthday. Or, call in and tell Matt just what you think of him. He's excited to hear from you.

There are many issues that used to have clearer cut answers in our society, but the definitive nature of those answers has been diluted, and black and white truth has been grayed. Knowing truth is identifying what exactly has been grayed. It is holding to and speaking the truths that we live by, and that are best for our society!
I hear people say about things like abortion, "And who are you to judge?" if someone calls it killing or murder. INSERT A FACT INTO DISCUSSION: At about 18 days, the human being within the mother, not the body part within the mother, has its own beating heart and is genetically coded as an individual, distinctly different from that of the mother or father.
And no matter the issue, if we always say, "And who are you to judge?" we end up a society that places no judgment on immoral or harmful behavior committed by others. Or we say, "Let whoever is without sin cast the first stone" at every offense and apply it to every situation, then we forfeit our right as a people to knit the moral fabric of our nation.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says to not lean unto our own understanding, but to acknowledge God in all our ways, and He will give us direction! So, while our judgment is not one of spiritual condemnation and we should all treat one another with respect and human decency, we are to acknowledge God in all our ways as a people, and we are to make judgments, even collectively for others, of what is right and wrong.
So, as we continue to acknowledge God, we must also continue to uphold what we believe to be His standard, both in our own lives, and in this great nation of ours. The silence that the wayward in our society demands of us is becoming our society's very downfall!
This all starts when we know the truth of what a good and God-fearing nation looks like, and we are willing to speak it into existence!!!
TONIGHT, ON THE DR C ROBERT JONES SITUATION REPORT,
Obama should make every American with a modicum of decency feel ashamed and sickened as he continues his coarse and boorish behavior. We used to be known as the Ugly American, a term used to refer to perceptions of arrogant behavior by Americans abroad, but Barack Hussein Obama truly epitomizes such genuine arrogance.
The president has led the nation into the Obama #hashtag era where tweets and social media are used to announce official policy or to demonize those who oppose his policies. Where does that leave America? Our guests will be tackling that threatening dilemma as well as Hollywood in the Home. Just where is the line between decency and moral decay when films, television and even video games invade the home.- What is the harm and what should parents be doing to protect their children right now?
Guests are Gary Graham, noted actor, conservative activist and fellow patriot, who known for his starring role as Detective Matthew Sikes in the TV series Alien Nation and in guest-starring roles on Star Trek: Enterprise as Ambassador Soval, a Vulcan ambassador to Earth. Also with us is Niger Innis a national prominent black conservative, civil rights activist and Tea Party leader, who heads up Tea Party.net and Restore the Dream 2015.

Colonel Pat Stogran (Ret) has had a long journey. From Quebec where he grew to love the outdoors, developing a fascination with martial arts that inspired him to a third-degree black belt, to Royal Roads Military College after high school. A young man that thought the exchange of service for an engineering degree was a fair deal. The degree was attained, but the military was his true calling.
"I loved everything about the military," he remembers. "Being outdoors, testing yourself physically and mentally, the camaraderie you find in an army company or platoon. There was nothing about being a soldier I didn't love." He steadily rose through the ranks, his martial arts skills and natural leadership abilities turning heads at the DND. Named Commander of 3rd Battalion - Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (3PPCLI) for Canada's foray into Afghanistan. He talked the talk and walked the walk. But he also found flaws with the mission in his view.
Back in Canada, promoted to Colonel, he commanded a Joint Operations Group at CFB Kingston. The position was enjoyable, but the newly created position of Veterans Ombudsman intrigued him. On October 15, 2007, Prime Minister Harper announced that the first holder of this position would be Pat Stogran. Blind compliance was not an option for him. The New Veterans Charter was the flashpoint. He realized the Government had no intention of improving the legislation, and became vocal about the deception over it. A three-year appointment was all the Government would stand.
He believes common sense, decency and good governance are under attack in Canada. Power corrupts and it has corrupted this current Government - and he isn't afraid to say it. The goal is revolutionize the democratic affairs to eliminate the bureaucrats' power base and stop them from victimizing Canadians.
~~The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.
~~“If you are a warrior, decency means that you are not cheating anybody at all. You are not even about to cheat anybody. There is a sense of straightforwardness and simplicity. With setting-sun vision, or vision based on cowardice, straightforwardness is always a problem. If people have some story or news to tell somebody else, first of all they are either excited or disappointed. Then they begin to figure out how to tell their news. They develop a plan, which leads them completely away from simply telling it. By the time a person hears the news, it is not news at all, but opinion. It becomes a message of some kind, rather than fresh, straightforward news. Decency is the absence of strategy. It is of utmost importance to realize that the warrior’s approach should be simple-minded sometimes, very simple and straightforward. That makes it very beautiful: you having nothing up your sleeve; therefore a sense of genuineness comes through. That is decency.”

Breaking news: Despite all logic, rational thought and basic human decency, Senate Democrats, led by California’s DiFi released their bogus report on the CIA’s enhanced interrogation program. Army Colonel Gilberto Villahermosa (Ret), foreign policy expert, weighs in on the consequences of the Senate’s ill-advised decision.

CAN INTERNET ACTIVISIM TURN INTO A REAL POLITICAL MOVEMENT?
WHEN dozens of countries refused to sign a new global treaty on internet governance in late 2012, a wide range of activists rejoiced. They saw the treaty, crafted under the auspices of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as giving governments pernicious powers to meddle with and censor the internet. For months groups with names like Access Now and Fight for the Future had campaigned against the treaty. Their lobbying was sometimes hyperbolic. But it was also part of the reason the treaty was rejected by many countries, including America, and thus in effect rendered void.
The success at the ITU conference in Dubai capped a big year for online activists. In January they helped defeat Hollywood-sponsored anti-piracy legislation, best known by the acronym SOPA, in America’s Congress. A month later, in Europe, they took on ACTA, an obscure international treaty which, in seeking to enforce intellectual-property rights, paid little heed to free speech and privacy. In Brazil they got closer than many would have believed possible to securing a ground-breaking internet bill of rights, the “Marco Civil da Internet”. In Pakistan they helped to delay, perhaps permanently, plans for a national firewall, and in the Philippines they campaigned against a cybercrime law the Supreme Court later put on hold.
THE NEW GREEN
Debate and dissent over the issues raised by the spread of information technology are not new. In the 1990s civil-liberties groups, including the pioneering Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), campaigned against the Communications Decency Act, part of which was eventually overturned by America’s Supreme Court.
TUNE IN FOR MORE ON THIS...
Being a man who works with the public everyday driving the public transportation bus here in Orlando Florida, I can sympathize with the frustrations that many women feel after being harassed all day long by the carnal minded men who approach these women with lustful intentions.
While I'm not saying that there aren't the countless women out here in existence who purposely seek out this type of attention for personal gain, I am specifically speaking about those women who are decently dressed and obviously on their way in their day to get something of note accomplished.
Men can tell the difference between a woman who has nothing else but games on her mind as opposed to one who really has no time to waste that is really trying to get somewhere in life.
It is these women that I feel for who have to deal with the constant advances from men who really have nothing to offer to their lives except a whole lot of drama, frustration, pain and regrets.
I often see it day in and day out as I drive through the city of Orlando, but this behavior is not new and not only happening here as it's a worldwide phenomenon.
Most men who do not see the world from the positioning that I have will never understand, this is why I was so overjoyed and somewhat tickled to see this video showing a very attractive woman walking through the streets of New York City for 10 hours showing what too many women have to go through in the course of a day.
The woman in this particular video - actress Shoshana Roberts - braved the NYC jungle as a man walked a few feet in front of her with a backpack that contained the hidden camera that recorded these men acting out in rare form.
Your thoughts, opinions and comments will be much appreciated as I would love for the discussion on this age old topic to continue!
