Virginia City was a boomtown with the 1859 discovery of the Comstock Lode, the first major silver deposit discovery in the United States, and numerous mines were opened. At the city's peak of population in the mid-1870s, it had an estimated 25,000 residents. The mines' output declined after 1878, and the city declined.
However, many in the now historic town say, some of the residents have never left. And as this ghost town has become more of a tourist attraction, one of the attractions the town now offers is ghost tours. Paranormal investigators from all over the world come to the Nevada playground to find who's still hanging out in the saloon or sleeping in the old hotel.
Debbie Bender is part of the team that runs the Virginia City Ghost Tours. The stories and experiences she has from this old mining community are eerie, intriguing and mystifying all at once. You can find them at www.virginiacityghosttours.com. Debi will explain the history of the town from then, until now. We'll talk about who's still wandering around. And how ghost hunting has brought new 'life' to an aged community.

Our guest is JONATHAN RATNER, Western Watersheds Project’s Director for Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. Jonathan joined WWP after a stint with the Forest Service in which he documented severe degradation caused by livestock grazing. When his reports were consigned to the ‘round file’ by the Forest Service, he sought out assistance from various area conservation organizations to deal with the problems, all of which declined to help. In his search for assistance farther afield he came across Western Watersheds Project and shortly thereafter started WWP’s Wyoming Office.
Jonathan will talk about public lands ranching, the most widespread commercial use of public lands in the United States. Ranching is one of the primary causes of native species endangerment in the American West; it is also the most significant cause of non-point source water pollution and desertification.
Tonight's show is hosted by Debbie Coffey, V.P. and Dir. of Wild Horse Affairs for Wild Horse Freedom Federation.

Guest will be: Robert Margolin- Animal Rights Activist, Screenwritter, Martial Arts Grandmaster, Fitness and Health Guru
Robert's first real job was working at a Chuck Norris karate studio. Robert's also started writing Martial Arts movies and was in talks to star in one of those movies while training for his fighting debut. Robert was a passenger in a fatal freeway accident that broke his back and left him in a body brace for 2 years. He lost 80 lbs. of lean muscle and at 6 ft. tall Robert was down to 115 lbs. and felt weaker than a newborn kitten. Seven doctors told him he would never be able to do Martial Arts again.
Finally, Robert's family helped to load him into the car and took me to see Franco Columbu. He cut him out of the body brace and together they started rebuilding his back. The first deadlift he did was measured in inches and ounces. Robert eventually worked up to over 400 lbs. Robert did preacher curls with Hulk Hogan, bench presses with Jake (Body By Jake), and Carl Weathers showed his favorite exercises. Robert's healing journey had begun! His Vegan lifestyle has made him healthier and help others to do the same. Robert educating and spreading awareness throughout.. Being a animal rights activists and helping the animals in need and being a voice for the voiceless.

Four major wild horse & burro advocacy groups and advocates are uniting to speak out against Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plans for cruel sterilization experiments on wild mares (including pregnant mares).
