Mercy for Animals
The Plight of Farmed Animals
Over 95% of the cruelty to animals in the United States occurs at the hands of the meat, dairy, and egg industries which confine, mutilate, and slaughter over 9 billion land animals each year.
Despite the fact that these are the most abused animals in the United States, they actually have the fewest number of advocates. That is why it is so important that we stand up and become a voice for the most defenseless.

A new Mercy For Animals undercover investigation into a poultry supplier to Gordon Food Service—the largest private foodservice distributor in North America—has exposed horrific cruelty to animals, including baby birds violently slammed into metal shackles before being painfully shocked with electricity and having their throats cut open while still conscious and able to feel pain. "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." (Proverbs 31:10 KJV) The words of King Lemuel's mother resounds throughout generations to this day. The intimate conversation between a mother and her son to instruct him in wisdom and the key to his good success. As we eavesdrop on a mother sharing her heart in preparing her son for life, one might become intimidated by the supernatural qualities this woman seems to possess: She's a wife, a mother, a business woman. She owns land and has servants. She's shrewd yet prudent in her business and personal affairs and manages her time well. She's trustworthy and well respected within her home by her husband, children and in her community and is known abroad. This sister has it going on! How can a woman of this century even come close to this woman? Is it possible to be everything to everyone without losing yourself in the process? How can we become the woman that this Proverbial 31 sister has modeled?
Join us as we explore the makings of the Proverbs 31 woman. Visit our page at the Kingdom United Ministries Network website and invite others to "Like", join and share. You are welcome!

I am an author and a Motivational Speaker on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. I am the producer, director and co-host to the NBTV-95 Cable TV Station out of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round; An Alcoholic Family in Crisis, is about my young alcoholic marriage to Richard Lopes of North Dighton, Massachusetts and our two daughters, Debbie and Lori. Richie died at 45 years old from cirrhosis of the liver.
The sequel Please, God, Not Two; This Killer Called Alcoholism is the continuation of our lives after Richie’s death, and the story follows Lori going down the same path as her father. Lori died at 39 years old from the same horrible, worldwide disease.
What is and isn’t Working for the Alcoholics and Addicts; Their Own Personal Stories. It’s a book of testimonies from thirty-four recovering addicts from all walks of life from the United States and Canada on their recovery programs. They want to reach doctors, counselors, and family members on what they believe isn’t and hasn’t worked in recovery programs.
I speak privately at halfway homes, substance abuse rehabilitation centers, court-ordered programs, and to the public.
