    Catching up with Martha Madison!

    in Entertainment

This week we welcome fan favorite Martha Madison to Littany. A familiar face in the soap world, Martha made her debut in 2003 when she joined Days of Our Lives as Isabella Black. Martha was thrown right into a major storyline and quickly proved to fans that she was the perfect recast for this pivotal character.

Bell would later sail off into the sunset with Shawn Douglas but luckily, this wasn’t the last fans would see of Ms. Madison. Martha has continued to make a name for herself on the web and on air with the launch of her popular TradioV show The Soap Box with Lilly Melgar. It was also announced this summer that Martha would be returning to Salem for the Days of Our Lives 50th Anniversary.

Join us as we chat with Martha about her career on daytime and the web, Soap Box and more on Lather up Littany. We will also be checking the chat for fan questions during the live show!

This week on Littany we will be chatting both Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful!

Our Days segment theme isn't a new one but with the Days 50th returns fast approaching we want to continue to discuss what stories we would like to see wrapped up and which ones should carry into the fall. It looks like Nicole is finally getting a shot at happiness but is it with the right man?

The Bold and the Beautiful continues to be on fire. Fans were shocked at the twist Aly's story took this week and it definitely set the stage for some major drama. What are your thoughts on the story? Were you surprised at how Aly exited and Steffy's involvement?

Discussing this and more this week on Littany. Fellow fans join us in the chat or call in!

    THIS WEEK’S MESSAGE:

Western music is not to be confused with Country music. Western music is a form of American folk music composed by and about the people who settled and worked throughout the Western United States and Western Canada. The Mexican folk music of the American Southwest also influenced the development of this genre.  With the Traditional Western being a genre of various arts, such as comics, fiction, film, games, radio, television and music, getting "westerns" published and in the hands of fans can also be confusing and a challenge to understand. Tonight we learn about today's contemporary western music and about how today's publishing experts get the western genre to market.

Hung Jury.... Would you date a Transsexual?

    in Lifestyle

    Lenore Lux

    Feb 5

    What is Transgender?

I think sometimes, about what it means to be transgender. I probe and probe for answers, because as the possibility for a new age of enlightenment and safety increases, the others want to know. I’ve come up with many answers, but I can hold to none. I don’t deserve to paint the definition of a culture with the limited experiences I’ve had. I don’t see myself in the transgender identified people allowed on television. I don’t see myself in the transgender identified people making news feeds and giving high profile interviews. And as my nation’s exposure to our culture increases, likely will their curiosity. Am I transgender? Do I have the right? I’ve heard doctors, psychiatrists, may refuse transgender patients access to hormone therapy based on how dedicated or convincing their portrayal of their identified gender. If you want to be a man or woman, you’ll have to look like the women and men on TV. If you want to be transgender, you’ll have to look like the trans identified people on TV. Every single one of us who has an active role as either participant or observer in our society is prey to the crisis of validity. Am I pretty enough? Am I strong enough? Am I brave enough? Mom enough? Dad enough? Competitive enough? Successful enough? Rich enough? Sexy enough? Pious enough? It never ends. We’re, as a nation of people, being crushed and compartmentalized by this ever present lens, looming over us, exploiting our weaknesses and fears so it may grow wider, and support itself as it follows us, seemingly forever into the future.
