Victor Ortiz vs Andre Berto II Preview, Golovkin and Gonzalez Recaps, More

    in Sports

There's a lot to yammer on about, so let's get to it.

This coming weekend Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto rematch on Fox, and it's a fight that has "guilty pleasure" written all over it. The fight could get weird, it could get dirty... Whatever it gets, we'll watch. Also this weekend, the Dirrell Brothers fight on the same card Friday night on Spike. So that's a thing.

On Saturday night both Badou Jack and James DeGale are featured in separate fights on Showtime. Jack is set to meet Lucian Bute, while James DeGale fights Rogelio Medina.

Worthy of some discussion, however, was the HBO card headlined by Gennady Golovkin, who ran through Dominic Wade in two rounds. He's at the doorstep of something big. And on the undercard, Roman Gonzalez won a decision over McWilliams Arroyo.

All this and more (Francisco Vargas' positive PED test, etc) are covered on this week's episode by Patrick Connor of The Fight City, FloBoxing and more.

  • The Story of Kenneth Vance ~ A child's veiw on Cannabis Prohibition

    in Higher Education

In this episode of Pot Talk Radio we will share The Story of Kenneth Vance ~ A child's veiw on Cannabis Prohibition.

Kenny Vance is an 18 years old former victim of CPS and the War on Drugs. Kenny was first removed from his family in 2001 as a young child and placed into fostercare with his younger sister Cheyenne because of cannabis use by his parents. He was diagnosed with autism at age 5 and spent the next 8 years being medicated with dangerous psychotropics before his mother risked criminal charges and started treating his issues with cannabis oil instead. Kenny and his sister Cheyenne joined with the Flor children and founded the first childrens chapter of THS to specifically address the issues children face dealing with The War On Drugs and answer the question, what about the children? As an adult Kenny hopes to offer perspective into the fears and trials endured by children because of Prohibition.

South Florida Attorney James "Randy" Ackley- Foreclosure is a Humanitarian Issue

    in Finance

Over the past 25 years Randy has devoted his life to disaster relief and humanitarian aid having been employed at the American Red Cross and in charge of Presbyterian Global Disaster Assistance.   Randy has been on the ground when Hurricanes like Andrew and Katrina struck, responded to tornados and floods, faced armed conflict in Kosovo, economic collapse in Bulgaria, the Indian Ocean tsunami in South Asia and earthquakes in Haiti and Japan- all while keeping his membership active in the Florida BAR.

When Randy says he can help save your home- he means just that.  Randy has helped save homes that are in the paths of Tsunamis, volcanos, hurricanes and wars- and even in more mundane venues- but equally dangerous areas- like court rooms.

Randy has stated that home losses are the consequence of bad actions by banks that caused families to lose their homes.  Randy Ackley believes that if the laws on the books are enforced, families can fight back and avoid losing their homes altogether. While many people may still perceive foreclosure as similar to that of our grandparents’ day, Randy points out that many people now realize that contemporary foreclosure is often the result of failings, or outright fraudulent behavior, of the lenders and the industry, and that these are very different circumstances from the foreclosures of the past.

If you are in Florida and are looking for help with your foreclosure, especially your foreclosure trial, call James "Randy" Ackley at  561-594-5671 for a FREE CONSULTATION.

America's Champions with LT Dan (Ret) Navy SEAL

    in Politics

Join LT Dan as he provides insights and hope for America, and America's Champion, Dr. David Balt .

A graduate of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences/ Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983, Dr. Dave works in Mitchell, SD and specializes in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Balt is affiliated with Avera Queen Of Peace Hospital, Mitchell, SD.

Dr. Dave recently retired from the Army Reserves as a "Full-bird Colonel" after joining the Reserves in 2004 in response to the 9/11 attacks on America. His early medical career began with service to the Navy, starting at Naval Hospital Charleston, S.C., and then in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as the head of Emergency Medicine, where he and LT Dan met and became close friends. Dr. Dave served the Navy for 11 years before leaving the service and serving the tristate communities in the northern Midwest.

He jokes about his concern serving in a combat zone by explaining that he’s accustomed to risk: he rides motorcycles. But he quickly turns serious again.

“I don’t take it lightly, that’s for sure,” he said. “I think it’s a dangerous place. Politically, I don’t want to say whether I’m for or against the war, but I’m definitely for the soldiers. I think that they’re doing a great job in a difficult situation and they deserve our respect and our care. If I can do a little bit to help that for a little bit of time, I’m really willing to do it.”

Dr. Dave is married to the beautiful Cindy Balt and has 4 children scattered around the country. He is active in both church and community, and continues to save lives!

April 21st, 2016 John Ceretto NY State Assemblyman, 145th District

    in Politics

In this segment of the Vince Anello Show New York State Assemblyman John Ceretto is our guest. Assemblyman Ceretto and I discuss state issues and initiatives as well as local issues and initiatives.

On the local level, the Niagara Falls Water Board and their relationship with the ratepayers, city residents, is discussed at length. I advanced my hope that the public meeting be held with all five members of the Niagara Falls Water Board, Niagara Falls city government and the appointing authorities of the Water Board. Niagara Falls Water Board members appointed as follows: one by the governor, one by the New York State Senate representative, one by the New York State assembly representative, one by the mayor of the city Niagara Falls and the fifth one by the Niagara Falls city Council.

The lack of communication and cooperative work relationship was totally exposed during the two years of the frozen water lines fiasco on 72nd St. and various other smaller areas in the city.

Just recently another issue was brought to light. The lack of maintenance of fire hydrants. This is a more dangerous situation confronting public health and safety in the city Niagara Falls.

School funding for local public schools and aid for street construction are also discussed by assemblyman Ceretto in this segment.
