My take on the Good timers for someone
Since the Ferguson, Missouri uprising over the killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown, hoards of stories have surfaced exposing the wrongful killing and incarceration of African American males across America, in many large urban areas but quite oftn in small towns where an oppressive racial climate still exists despite Civil Rights legislation and an African American president in the White House. A horror story of total disregard for the law has emerged from Putnam County Georgia, where police appear to have conspired with lawyers an judges to imprison African American teen Damiean Wicks for shooting Rontavious Crawford, even though Rontavious pointed out the white man Phillip Calloway as the guilty party. Phillip Calloway, identified in court by the victim as the culprit, verified as being at the scene of the crime by cell phone tracking evidence, admitted to irratic behavior due to drug use. He was merely sent to rehab, while Damiean Wicks, dismissed by the victim Rontavious Crawford as being innocent and proved nowhere near the scene of the crime by cell phone tracking evidence, was nevertheless convicted as guilty imprisoned. His grandmother, Judy Farley, has launched a campaign to free her grandson Damiean and is calling for intervention by the U.S. Justice Department in this small town of Eatonton Georgia where whites in authority have seemingly tossed justice to the wind while they jail and kill blacks at whim. Today's guest, Judy Farley tells her incredible story. What happens when law enforcement officers and the courts in a city are all corrupt? How can citizens get justice? What would make the Federal government intervene? Will it take another riot?

Mz. Koko Bowden of UGA Gospel Storm Interviews Marvin Winans Jr for the 2014 www.IAMGODSWOMAN.COM CONFERFERNCE
Born into a family of musical prowess, surrounded by outstanding talent, Marvin Winans Jr., the son of Gospel greats Marvin and Vickie Winans, and nephew to BeBe and CeCe Winans, had no low expectations placed on him. Marvin, now in his early 30’s, has made his own mark and definitely come into his own.
Starting at the age of 18, Marvin signed a major record deal with Epic records with his cousins as the group, Winans Phase 2. After selling a quarter of a million albums and being nominated for a Grammy Award by the age of 19, Marvin knew there was more he wanted to accomplish. He quickly embarked upon a vision for an all-encompassing entertainment company, M2 Entertainment, which he believes he was divinely inspired to build.
Marvin, quickly, signed several producers, writers and artists to his M2 label, all by the age of 21. Several, of which, have gone on to be very successful in the music industry. As CEO, Marvin was in a position of not only artist, producer and writer but, entrepreneur. As a producer and writer, Marvin’s work would be nominated for several awards including Grammy Awards, Stellar Awards, Dove Awards and more. After a very successful stint with Winans Phase 2, traveling and singing around the globe, including Germany, England and Holland with even a special appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the group, for various reasons decided to resolve their label relationship with Epic, compelling Marvin to work on his own solo project, Image of A Man, which in 2007, he released, on his own, M2 Entertainment label.
