Supreme Achievements And The Crossover Road

    in Current Events

Crossover appeal is a key to success in America's diverse society.  Tonight we take a look at the phenomenal success of the Supremes, the iconic 1960's Motown group.  They helped to shatter the racial barriers of their day thanks in large part to both raw talent coupled and the ability to take their soulful, R&B sound to a national audience. But success brought its own problems to the group, as it does to so many today.  We take a look at the promise and pitfalls of the crossover phenomenon on today's political scene.

WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

The Sickle-Cell Anemia Research Foundation has raised the consciousness ofthe community, first by giving it the basic facts about the disease, and second by bringing to its attention the neglect of the disease in medical research. The community has learned through the foundation 's program that the people  themselves can organize and find solutions to the problems that daily affect their survival. HUEY P. NEWTON The 63rd session of the UN General Assembly in December 2008 adopted a resolution on the “recognition of sickle-cell anaemia as a public health problem,” and urged Member States and UN organizations to raise awareness of SCD on June 19 of each year.21 Despite the fact that the UN has called for global efforts “to bring the disease out of the shadows,” relatively little attention has been given to assessing the burden of SCD and how to reduce it in Africa, where about 85% of children with SCD are born.22 In 2010, the WHO Regional Office for Africa proposed a SCD strategy in official recognition of the fact that this disease is an important cause of child mortality in many African countries.23 Enough is already known to justify investment in public health SCD programs, such as those already in place for other conditions (e.g., HIV or malaria), for promoting widespread screening, health education, and treatment to prevent or manage SCD complications.

On tonight's show we will be discussing solutions that can get directly to the heart of our biggest problems by creating economic development opportunities that can be accessed and sustained by the average members of our communities. We will be joined in our discussion by Perry Ealim, an expert business developer and various individuals who have successful experience using the strategies we will be discussing. The goal of this show is to prepare our listeners to utilize these skills immediately in order to rebuild our business community. Looking forward! February 12, 2016 at 9 pm Eastern On BlogTalkRadio.

RFB Radio ~ What Happened to Canada?

    in Politics Conservative

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that the Liberals’ refugee rush plan has not gone smoothly. By imposing arbitrary deadlines and quotas in their foolhardy plan, they’ve run into logistical problems and compromised our security but instead of slowing down, they continue full steam ahead. (AND, this Administration is handing over our Military bases...)
