More About Mary:
Mary Edwards is a composer, songwriter and sound artist whose projects range from recordings and performances "evocative of epic cinematic soundtracks combined with lyrical intimacy..." (Time Out NY), to immersive environmental and architectural sound installations. Themes of temporality, impermanence, nostalgia, longing, childhood and the natural world are interspersed throughout her work. Her extended discographyincludes the solo releases, A Smile in the Mind (2007), Console (2010),Eastern/Central & Mountain/Pacific (2012), and Everyday Until Tomorrow(2015), where she captures the essence of Modernism, '60s film scores and classic pop, thinking in terms of miniature movies (to paraphrase Burt Bacharach) to create pocket symphonies and an indelible, sprawling landscape of sound.

Kori’s saga is filled with a love affair for music. Kori grew up with 100% hearing loss in her left ear, which has not stopped her from pursuing her musical career. She is a classically trained pianist, and composes all of her music. Kori’s song “Carpe Diem – Featuring Aeone” won the 2012 Independent Music Award for Best New Age Song. Kori’s album “Trillium” was nominated Zone Music Reporters 2009 Awards “Album of the Year” and “Best Contemporary Instrumental Album”. Lately, she has been diagnosed with a vocal disorder, which has stopped her from singing, however, she still can “sing” with her fingers using her main instrument, the piano. Kori lives in Southern California with her husband, 4 children, a cat, dog, bunny and her eyes are midnight blue.
“Kori Carothers is, without question a brilliant pianist and composer. What sets her apart, however, is the broad range of styles she utilizes so gracefully. Kori moves between the worlds of achingly beautiful acoustic piano composition and lavish keyboard production with remarkable ease. The result “Trillium”, a cohesive collection of compositions of stunning breadth and dynamic range, confidently held together by her singular musical voice. ~Will Ackerman, Windham County, VT May 2009
It’s been five years since Dan Siegel released a new recording and the cover of his 20th disc, “Indigo,” provides a glimpse of the musical content. Stylish black & white photos shot by Siegel in Paris, Berkeley, Malibu and Irvine colored in muted shades of Indigo reflect the melodic beauty and idyllic romance that illuminate Siegel’s ten original compositions that are fully-orchestrated acoustic jazz renderings produced by Grammy-nominated bassist Brian Bromberg and Siegel.
laraina_c is a vocalist, recording artist, woodwindist and mix engineer. Since 12, when the school’s band teacher gave her a mouthpiece to take home and learn to blow, music has found its way to laraina_c. Never one to look a gift mouthpiece in the reed, laraina_c taught herself the clarinet in a week, and by the time she finished middle school she had learned to play the saxophone, flute, oboe and bassoon. Away from music for many years, she found her way back and is growing as a woodwindist. Recently, she completed a degree in IT and is blossoming into a vocal performer and recording artist, while exploring her digital audio workstation. She understands that communication is an incredibly powerful tool and her deepest desire is to utilize the communicative power of music to connect with people, move them meaningfully, and provide aural escapes in which her listeners can experience peace and regeneration. Certified as a Master in Writing and Producing from Berklee College of Music, and a member of both the Recording Academy and Audio Engineering Society, laraina_c continues to study music theory and ear training, and plans to further her musical career by performing with live bands, becoming a leading audio Mix Engineer, and completing her first CD, My First Time. Her song Change The Life has been submitted for a Grammy nomination, along with the compilation CD it is featured on – Women in Jazz South Florida Music Collection IV.
