As we learn at TheCenterPS.org, "The story of The Center (also known as The LGBT Community Center of The Desert) is one of success. This vibrant organization is undergoing a dramatic expansion to better serve our seniors, to embrace the diversity of our Valley, to build camaraderie, to provide wellness and social services – and to enrich the lives of the LGBT community. The magnitude of commitment to The Center’s mission in this community is striking. Through the contributions of our members, volunteers, donors, business partners, board and staff, we are addressing urgent needs of hunger, depression, isolation and building a community center that brings people together for health, for wellness, for socializing, for FUN and for a broad array of shared interests."
On May 21st, 2015, at the beautiful home of Palm Springs City Council Candidate Geoff Kors and his husband, Palm Springs Unified School Board Member James Williamson, The Center's Executive Director Mike Thomspon addressed existing and future members of The Center's Ocotillo Club (major donors) about how far the organization has come, and where it's headed. They say, "Be a part of this success story as it unfolds. Join us...You are welcome here."

Another in the series of Michael Jackson inspired shows. They Don't Care About Us. Are you one who feels left out of life? Do you feel that no one loves you? Do you feel that you are different in some way?
In this show Sonia Nadina Haynes speaks to the feelings that many have with feelings of none acceptance. Michael Jackson tried to fit in but was so far beyond us that he could not fit. The people who did not fit themselves attacked him because... join Sonia Nadina in the show to find out why he was so viciously attacked.
This is still happening today. People are being attacked for being different. Are you one who accepts others regardless of their packaging or are you one who feels that you are outside the circle?

The Flagging of Union Springs, Alabama, Preserving Our Heritage
Confederate’s Most Wanted!
We are going to Union Springs on the 20th instead of the 19th. There is only one hotel, and for safety reasons, I feel the 20th would be better. We will meet one block from City Hall behind the Union Springs Nutrition Center, at 204 Baskin Street North. We will first have pray, and Tim Kent, a great speaker will speak. Others whom wish to speak can, but I ask that we keep it clean and ...show these people we have class. The media will be there so we need to look good, and Union Springs look bad, which Mr. Penn has already accomplished. We will make our demands and see where we get, since you cannot predict what will go on. We will sing “Dixie”. I hope this is a success a lot of people will be watching us. This is our chance to make a Stand and show others we are tired of being walked on. God Bless the South, and God Bless all of you who care and come to support your Heritage. Justin Burton.

Host Emma Boa-Durgammah is blessed to welcome this series’ Guest Co-Host, Diane Doumas, a Christ Follower and Kingdom Worker first. In this episode we will explore if Kingdom Work for Christ can happen through grief and how Jesus approaches this.
God is currently positioning Diane as His Light and Representative in her capacity as an accomplished elder services professional and thought leader with an extensive track record of innovative management.
Her expertise includes successful management of several Sunrise Senior Living communities; senior management consultant with Vantage Advisory Group; collaboration with health care professionals, social workers, regulatory agencies, and other senior services providers; leadership coaching and mentoring; development and delivery of sales and marketing strategies with senior living technology firm WellAware Systems; elder services consulting and blogging as a Certified Senior Advisor. For several years she was licensed by the Virginia Board of Health Professions as an assisted living administrator.
Most notably, Diane describes herself as a very imperfect child of God who is blessed to be a wife of 32 years this October to a wonderful husband and mother of 3 terrific sons, all in their 20s.
Host, Emma Boa-Durgammah would love to hear from you through email after the show firstname.lastname@example.org. An Intervention- Kwathu Children’s Home: Gertrude, born to a young single girl, barely old enough to take care of herself, became a ‘mom’ to her 2 year old, half-brother, at a tiny age of 6 years. Gertrude and Linto were the ‘results’ of a young woman trying to survive through the only way she knew how, prostitution. Naturally, the two children were unplanned, and the young woman was certainly in no position to care for them. Having to fight for survival, Gertrude would wrap her little brother on her back and walk into the township and steal food. Someone noticed that these two children were in desperate need for care, and took action. 6 years have passed, and Gertrude and Linto have blossomed into two incredible children. They found their home, their foundation and their future.
Beats and Books: A similar story yet in another part of Africa is that of a young girl with little knowledge of her Mom's whereabouts. The death of her father had so little consequence as he was only a man whose last name she bears. Her name is Yonela which means "enough." She has no one to look to except the strangers in her life who have consistently shown her love and care and have become her family. Two years ago, through our intervention, Yonela was moved into a private school where she has learned quickly how to read and write. Every week, she spends atleast 9 hours learning musical skills and improving her literacy with people who believe in changing her circumstances in our after-school program. Yonela has begun to dream.
IMAGINE A WORLD OF UNLIMITED RESOURCES AND MONEY WHERE WE COULD ALL DO AS MUCH AS WE WANT AND USE AS MUCH AS WE WANT WITHOUT EVERY HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF WHAT WE WANT. I THINK WE'D PROBABLY HAVE TO BE IN HEAVEN TO HAVE SUCH AN OPPORTUNITY BUT, THEN AGAIN, WE OFTEN LIVE TODAY AS IF THINGS ARE UNLIMITED.
FOOD, SUPPLIES, GOVERNMENT SERVICES, CARS, HOMES, LAND AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT MONEY CAN BUY TODAY IS A SUPPLY AND DEMAND SITUATION. WHEN SUPPLY OUTPACES DEMAND, IT IS EASIER FOR ALL OF US TO GET WHAT WE WANT. WHEN DEMAND IS GREATER, THE OPPOSITE APPLIES, YET WE OFTEN LIVE AS IF THERE ARE NO LIMITS UNTIL WE HIT THE BRICK WALL: WE CAN'T AFFORD IT OR WE CAN'T GET IT. AND THE WORST OF IT IS THAT BY THAT POINT WE ARE OUT OF THE ONE ITEM, MONEY, THAT IS NEEDED. THIS APPLIES TO INDIVIDUALS, BUSINESS AND GOVERNMENT.
TONIGHT WE'LL TALK A LITTLE ABOUT FACING REALITY: IN OUR HOMES, SCHOOLS, WORK, GOVERNMENT, CHURCH AND EVEN LEISURE. LET'S TRY TO TAKE CARE OF OUR REAL NEEDS BEFORE WE GO AFTER THE WANTS. IT WILL SAVE US A LOT OF GRIEF AND A LOT OF AGGRAVATION. SEE YOU TONIGHT AT 9 (ET)
