Clay Crosse joins Eklectricity with Adam and Belinda

    in Music

Eclectic in style, electric in energy...it's time for Eklectricity!

Clay Crosse is a husband, father, singer/songwriter and an ordained minister. He has been honored four times with Dove Awards including 1994 New Artist of the Year and 2000 Inspirational Song of the Year “I Will Follow Christ.” He has toured extensively and been in the center of contemporary Christian music.

Clay and his wife, Renee, founded HolyHomes Ministries in 2001 after a life changing season of growth that they both experienced. “I know people wonder why I am focusing so much time and energy on HolyHomes.” says Crosse. “They probably don’t hear me on the radio as much as before and they may be wondering what in the world I’m up to. The only thing I can say is that God has clearly positioned me to challenge homes out there to dedicate themselves to Him. And I’m talking about countless Christian marriages and homes that are in seriously sad shape. They need to take their focus off this world and put it back on God. He holds the only source for success and peace for our homes.”

Clay’s passion for this message came across loud and clear in the book ‘I Surrender All / Rebuilding a Marriage Broken By ography.” (NavPress) written by he and his wife Renee. “The book was another example of how God has opened a variety of doors for us to let HolyHome’s message of hope be heard.” said Crosse.

Various speaking opportunities as well as a variety of singing engagements keep Clay very busy on the road. While at home, (Memphis, Tennessee) Clay enjoys life with Renee and their four children.

Actor Clay Chappell with Boyd and Lucinda

    in Lifestyle

Atlanta - Actor Clay Chappell is no newcomer to the big screen. As a working actor, he has landed some prime bit parts in several major films. He played a councilman alongside Dennis Quaid in the remake of "Footloose" and did a scene with Robert Duvall in the Billy Bob Thorton directed "Jayne Mansfield's Car." But his brief appearance in the cinematic drama, "Selma," a historical period piece distributed by Paramount Pictures, has been heralded as the showstopper which may just define his career. In "Selma," Chappell plays a southern registrar opposite Oprah Winfrey as Annie Lee Cooper, a Black women seeking to vote in 1965 when racial discrimination made voting very difficult. The scene, only a minute in length, sets the tone for the entire film, and is Oprah's only speaking role in the movie.According to film critic, Derrick Bang ( the-march-resonates-anew )   "the scene with Oprah is a "landmark cinematic moment: a scene destined to be memorialized, and oft resurrected, for decades to come." Chappell's performance has been highlighted on talk shows across the country, including "Ellen," "The Tonight Starring Jimmy Fallon," "Barbara Walters," and "The Today Show." Not bad for an actor who has been working since 1996 to secure more than five lines in a film!Chappell originally auditioned for the role of one of the klansmen in the film, but was asked by casting director Cynthia Stillwell to come back and read for the role of the registrar for the film's director, Ava DuVernay. After doing so, Chappell was asked back but couldn't make the third audition and thought maybe he had lost further consideration. When his agent at J Pervis Talent called him a week later, requesting a table read, he remained hopeful. DuVernay offered him the part after the read,

The Mighty Phoenix  The history of the Ashkenazi Jews was widely known in the former Soviet Union. Ashkenazi militants traced the area where the Turkic Khazars originated before their migration to Southern Russia to Birobidjan, an Eastern Siberian area as big as Switzerland bordered by the Amur river, by China and Mongolia. Around 1928 they started building settlements with the Soviet government's help and in 1934 the Autonomous Republic (Okrug) of Birobidjan Yevrei came into being with official languages of Yiddish and Russian. It is still there as an Autonomous Republic to this day, offering the only historically legitimate settlement area for Ashkenazi Jews willing to exercise their "right to return"
