Carol A. Clark, publisher of the Los Alamos Daily Post (the online news source for the community) talks with Carole Rutten, deputy director of the LANL Community Programs Office. City Plays Games With Public Records

    in News

City plays games with public records.

Coming up …former City Councilman Bruce Frohman

Before the average citizen can know what’s happening with their government information must be sanitized or massaged and then run through the filter of the local newspaper.

City staff provides information to the City Council who must then discover what information was not being revealed.

One of former Mayor Carmen Sabatino’s tactics was to ask staff questions that he already knew the answer to.

In fact, chief executive officer for the County at the time, Reagan Wilson lied at a city Council meeting in response to one of the Mayor’s questions.
