On this Sunday's show, we will talk about interventions: what they are, who needs one, and how to going about doing one.
When a loved one is struggling with an active addiction, it is an exremely powerless and oftentimes hopeless feeling. Because the symptoms of the disease of addiction are behavioral as well as physical, and denial is such a huge component of the disease as well, it is difficult (if not impossible) to reason with an active alcoholic/addict. Many people turn to an intervention to get help for an addict who is not able to break the cycle of addiction.
But where to start? On this episode we will walk through the steps of an intervention, as well as provide advice on what works, and what doesn't. We will talk about ways a family can be helpful to an active addict, both with an intervention and in general, share our own personal experiences with interventions, and talk to a nationally certified recovery coach.
Please tune in to this informative episode!

Could drug-resistant tuberculosis be the next great pandemic? Most people think of tuberculosis as being a long-gone disease, a throwback to the Colonial or Medieval Eras. Also known as “consumption”, tuberculosis is thought of as something modern medicine has eliminated. Not only is this factually incorrect, tuberculosis has joined the ranks of drug-resistant bacterial infections.
When antibiotics no longer kill a particular bacterial infection, the entire population is at risk of that infection in a much larger way than a handful of people who refuse vaccinations. Without effective antibiotics, there is no treatment.

Dealing with the symptoms of depression is very difficult. Yes, you should seek medical treatment by a licensed psychologist and psychiatrist. However, you have to deal with these symptoms when you go home and live in daily life.
I was diagnosed with major depression after I was struck by a tractor trailer. It changed my whole life. I would not be able to work. I was always seeing doctors for pain. A lawsuit which went bad because of the lawyer I had and therefore money problems. My parents were deceased and my immediate family wasn't healthy for me.
However, I did learn how to deal with it and I do believe talking about your problems are the key. You might have to take small baby steps but you can do it. When you peel back why you are depressed you will find that you have to deal with changes and it's fear that holds us back. It's our perception.
I live in chronic pain and I will be getting a major procedure done on Friday which involves collapsing part of the disc which is impinging on my nerve root. Physical pain is very depressing and now I know that when I had feelings of depression before I had physical pain I could have done different things to help myself.
I will also take your psychic questions and comments or questions about depression.

The final hour features an interview with academic Beth Richie who discusses her research on gender violence and institutional racism impacting African American women.
Linda Faillace and her husband raised sheep that were seized by the USDA. Was the seizure legal or illegal? Did the USDA do anything to further their agenda?
Find out what you eat is being regulated and monitored by our government. Is our food really healthy or is it poisoning us?
Listen in and find out.
There is only one best person for the White House. That one person comes from the populace, is not campaigning for your money, is not a Politician, will be one of the best & smartest Commander-In-Chiefs and even protect our military men and women, disassemble the Tax Code and correct it, end discrimination against victims, women, race, gender, work, pay, age, orientation and opportunity, see to better laws, put a lasting end to violence, discrimination, pollution and a nearing end to disease. This person has no money for campaigning / travelling / eating rich food on your money, and trusts that if our country succeeded with Paul Revere's voice, our country can do it again by the free word of mouth and the Write-In ballot on election day. I will be the voice of the people who have been shuttered out by money and political / industrial donors & lobbyists. Give me a try or keep the same old in place.
If you want better and the change that lots of people talk about but is never seen because people didn't really mean it and know that you would not kick them out of office for fooling you, your only guarantee is with me and 120,000,000 write in ballots. You need to start at the top and work down. You need a leader who will work to the bottom of things. I am the person. bwell... c2it.... c2 curtclinton.
Okay, so it wound up being kind of a mocked phrase in a sense over the years from former first lady Nancy Reagan. But today I wanted to go back actually to my youth and to those old PSA's and slogans that my generation may recall quite well. It's "Just Say No" day on American Faith Today and I'll try to cover a wide variety of things to "Just Say No" to today.
Just say no to Jeb Bush as the Republican nominee or even as the next president.
Just say no to gay marriage, which perhaps a surprising number of people still are.
Just say no to unchecked immigration to as yet another "forgotten disease" makes a slight appearance again.
Just say no to Obamacare... still. Yes, it's "the law of the land", but yes, it's still causing problems for many people in the land here at tax time.
Just say no to forced vaccinations- which the United States government is saying yes to, maybe in a big way.
Finally, just say no to net neutrality. Because after all, it's hard to trust the government to run it- especially when they want to hide how they plan to run it.
So it's "Just Say No" day on American Faith Today, but that doesn't mean that you can't say "yes" and tune in at 4:30 Eastern time or listen on the archives afterward.
Ever wonder why some people are always happy, and others can never seem to shake the blues? Or how some live securely while others are plagued by fears? Could what we are seeing and hearing have an impact on our health? Filtering what we allow to enter us via our eyes and ears can change our lives dramatically. Are all your friends gossippers? Do the guys at work tell dirty jokes? Are you addicted to zombie movie or romance novels? Come join us in the Healing River as we discuss the importance of keeping your eye and ear gates free from the influence of evil.
