The Real Talk with Chris Richardson Show
Calling all men. You are invited to join me on Monday, June 1st @ 9pm ET as I welcome Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr. to The Real Talk with Chris Richardson Show. Help me SPREAD the WORD. This is a special MAN TALK segment for MEN ONLY. Ladies are encouraged to LISTEN.
Topic: Marriage - The Man, The Myth and His Identity
Featured Guest: Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr.
Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. has been preaching the Good News since he was licensed as a minister at 15 years old. From an early age, he developed a love for the Lord and felt a call to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
His pastoral journey began in February 1987 when he was called to serve as the senior pastor at Union Bethel Church in King George, Va. Nearly three years of pastoring at Union Bethel proved to be the training ground for his upcoming assignment. In October of 1988, Pastor Jenkins learned of the passing of his pastor and mentor, Dr. John W. Johnson, from his home church at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden.
One year after Dr. Johnson's passing, Pastor Jenkins returned to First Baptist to become the seventh shepherd. The fruit of his biblically based teaching is evidenced in the growth of church membership from 500 to more than 10,000. Today, an average 11,000 people attend weekly Sunday services between two campuses located in Landover and Upper Marlboro, Md.
Even with his many obligations, Pastor Jenkins holds his role as family man as the highest treasure. He and his wife are the proud parents of six children and one granddaughter.
...Is Your Image More Important Than Your Heart?
This show will talk about culture, ideology and stigmas that men and women face everyday. Are you caught up on height, weight, hair color, skin complexion?
Ladies, do you choose his arms and chest over gentleness and love. Your body may feel safe, but your heart may still be exposed.
Fellas, she may be pretty on the outside and have it popping in all the right places. But what happens if she's ugly on the inside? That still makes her pretty ugly, doesn't it?
What's really important to YOU?
Are your inner thoughts telling on you? They say that actions speak louder than words.
Do YOU always gravitate to a certain body type?
Does it ever change?
The big question is what does all of this say about you? And does this have more to do with your own IMAGE?
Let's talk about it on Monday night @ 9pm ET. Spread the word!!
This is a HOT TOPIC and going to be barn blazing show!
We are going to discuss...
What is faithfulness?
Can you be faithful?
Are there characteristics of unfaithfulness?
How does unfaithfulness impact men versus women?
What can you do to avoid your past issues with faithfulness from showing up in your future?
Do you believe the statement that once a person is unfaithful they are always unfaithful? WHY?
TOPIC: Is It Your Pain? Or, Is It Your PRIDE?
Have you ever been rejected?
Have you ever had a bad breakup, or gone through a divorce? Was the real reason you/they left because of your/their pride?
Maybe you've been laid off, or perhaps been asked to resign from a job?
What is good PRIDE?
What is bad PRIDE?
What is PRIDE and where is it? .
What does the scripture say about PRIDE?
Can PRIDE take you out of fellowship with God?
Are you full of PRIDE?
