Join host Wes Blackman as he welcomes fellow blogger Chaz Stevens to the High Noon in Lake Worth studios.Daniel Chang of the Miami Herald wrote: "Prosecutors secretly admire him. Defense attorneys openly loathe him. And followers of Broward politics can't seem to get enough of him."
Mr. Stevens helped get three politicians arrested and removed from office, two of which were convicted and one is pending trial. Mr. Stevens has also received countless "cease and desist orders" and his response has been the same -- "eat me."
In 2012, Mr. Stevens worked with the Department of Justice to bring a $50,000 civil fine against a local pastor's non-profit and with Broward County officials in seeking a State's robust audit of the City of Lauderdale Lakes' General Fund and CRA. Winner of the 2010 New Times Activist of the Year award, Mr. Stevens appeared on the Sunday front pages, featured in countless articles, and guest on radio and TV. He's now is a guest columnist for the New Times Broward Palm Beach. Mr. Stevens uniqueness is his use of technology, activism, political muckraking, and all-American ball-busting. If you take an oath of office, then you better not get yourself on his radar -- as the politicians in South Florida can attest. Click here
Join your host Wes Blackman as he welcomes Chaz Stevens and Fane Lozman to the High Noon in Lake Worth studios. Broward-based blogger Chaz Stevens starts out the hour. No stranger to the show, Mr. Stevens recently grabbed the spotlight by getting permission to erect a Festivus Pole in Florida's Capitol rotunda during the 2013 Holiday season. We'll find out more about that as well as his other pursuits, including some complaints filed against State Senator Maria Sachs. At the 12:30 mark, Fane Lozman will be joining us. He is also a previous guest on the show. You might recall that Mr. Lozman took a case to the Supreme Court related to the City of Riviera Beach's seizure of his houseboat - which he won. He is still in a legal sparring match with the city and he will bring us up-to-date on those goings-on.
Join your host Wes Blackman for a two hour special edition of the show. Two guests will be featured and both have been on the show before. We will first welcome Seth Bramson to the High Noon in Lake Worth studios. You may recall that Mr. Bramson is the resident expert for the Florida East Coast Railroad. In our first show, we talked about the beginning of modern history in south Florida with the arrival of the railroad and ended up talking about the 1920s. We will start the conversation from there. My second guest will come on around 1 p.m. and it will be Chaz Stevens. Mr. Stevens authors the MAOS or My Acts of Sedition blog. We will talk about the just-closed criminal investigation he endured, local politicians of a "religious nature" who should come out of the closet, friend Fane Lozman's take on the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office and the city of Boca Raton.

Kristin Peterson is a Janesville native and a filmmaker. While she is working on her own short film Dog*Walk, for the past 3 years, Kristin’s been closely involved with Beloit International Film Festival where she works as a programmer and other things. We spoke about what Kristin learned from watching over 3,000 films, the importance of sound, and how we could get Angelina Jolie to work with small independent moviemakers.
Amy Stevens is a professor of special education at UW-Whitewater. Amy stopped in to talk about the work she does in Jamaica where she goes annually to help train local teachers, what she learned from her experience, how great the island nation’s needs are, and how little things from America, can make a huge difference in a one-room school house in Jamaica.

As we progress through the end of t2014, it certainly appears the need for self-reliance may be more important than ever in the near future! We are facing increasing problems of natural disasters, man-caused disasters, and personal disasters in seemingly heavier doses.
The new 13th Edition of Making the Best of Basics has been published for this eneration. Long ago, I came to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter what causes the need to be prepared––If you are properly prepared, you need not fear!
