Mathew 6:33 really came to mean something entirely new to me today in church while listening to my pastor preach a powerful message on laying down our self and picking up our crosses.
I have done so many things thinking I was doing the right thing, maybe trying to help someone and not even asking God " Should I do this?" before doing it. Recently I found out the hard way that being nice and trying to help even a believer can really come back to bite and hard. I just acted on my own thinking that this situation would help the other and I didnt even ask God before hand If I would have He would have told me not to do what I did that I am sure because no way would the LORD put me in a situation only to find myself stressed out and financially hurt in trying to do something nice for another believer.
We all have done things thinking we are helping and we didn't stop to pray the Father and seek His face before doing whatever it was that we did and if we would have the promise firat that Mathew 7:7-9

Matthew 6:33New King James Version (NKJV)

In the classic tradition of the jazz masters, guitarist/composer Adam Smale tells stories with his music.
His “pen” is a personally designed 7-string guitar, wielded with both virtuosity and creativity. His tales
are woven from his rich imagination stoked by a wide variety of musical influences and his latest CD,
Out of the Blue fully attests to his compelling artistry. It’s his first CD since the release of his critically
acclaimed Canadian release, Fun City.

For nearly 40 years, Imam Shaheed Shabazz has traveled throughout parts of the South and Northeast areas of the United States distributing his merchandise and spreading the word of God. His spiritual teachings and words of inspiration have been a solace and encouragement for countless people. He is strongly committed and very serious about his commitment to dedicating his life in service to his Creator through his outreach ministry and community service work. He gives consistantly of his time and personal charity to those seeking his help, and the number is increasing daily. He is usually a lone traveler on his journey in the service of humanity. He says, "In order to gain heaven, you have to call all the people to God." As the number of people seeking his spiritual teaching and guidance was increasing, he took his brother's suggestion and started making cd's of his teachings to hand out to him. The request for his cds has grown so, that it has placed him in a financial strain trying to produce them. San Antonio’s G.L.O which stands for Gods Love only, is a ground-breaking artist in the genre of Christian Rap, having received critical acclaim from some of Gospel’s most revered.
G.L.O, first gained notoriety in 1998 when she became an accomplished writer with 250 songs to her credit. Despite her diverse collection of music, she noticed that none of her music glorified God. That all changed one fateful day when God had a Word for her in Bible Study, “You can’t have one foot in the world and one foot out.” That was the breakthrough for G.L.O and she hasn’t looked back since.
Her third CD “Breakthrough” captured critical attention from coast to coast, proving that people were indeed hungry for music that authentically glorified God. G.L.O’s articulate and powerful method of rapping combined with her crystal-clear voice and prescient lyrics, deliver a message that is uncompromised and unrestrained.
G.L.O’s newest single Run takes us on a poetic journey of perseverance and determination. Based on Hebrews 12:1-2, “The scripture speaks to me to encourage someone else who is worn out and tired. Never throw in the towel. We are called to run this race with endurance.”
Currently she has released her 4th Album "Fire" based on 1 Peter 1:6-9 which reminds us that we will be tested by fire, its the purification process. " Its not only about how we come out but how we act as we go through. Her Album "Fire" is packed with an intense message that will leave the listener Equipped, Encouraged and Ignited for God.
A riveting crime story always keeps my attention. First time author, Stephen J. Resnick has written The 45 Stitch Rule, a fictional account of events facing members of the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office during a particular week in August of 1974. The book details the good, the bad, and the ugly side of dealing with the victims and perpetrators of crime in Brooklyn. The author also offers a look at the humorous side to criminal proceedings such as The Best Free Night Show In Town also known as Night Court (recall that TV show and you get the idea). The story begins on a Sunday morning, as Assistant District Attorney, Alan Stone, is contacted by an NYPD patrolman seeking help on a problem with a confessed axe murderer. The story follows Stone through the week, as he investigates and prosecutes serious and frivolous crimes, and finds love in an unexpected place. It’s a tough week for ADA Stone and the NYPD and includes plenty of murder and mayhem with a cast of richly drawn characters. The action takes place in Brooklyn but there are sidelines in Bordentown and Hightstown, NJ. The title of the book, The 45 Stitch Rule, had me wondering until the significance was explained. It seems there are many unwritten rules that guide law enforcement in their daily grind of dealing with too many criminals in an overloaded justice system. Think plea bargaining. This book is fiction, but author Stephen J. Resnick definitely has the inside track. He spent many years as a prosecutor in NY and NJ, at county and state levels. He has prosecuted everything from street crime, organized crime, narcotics and such, to bribery, securities fraud, Medicaid fraud and environmental crimes. As a government attorney he has represented sitting judges and prosecutors. After the interview, please check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live.
Okay, I'll admit it. Partially due to the lack of time between shows but partially because I felt I teased you at the end on Thursday's show with other news items, I had to make this the focus of today's show. Also, there is some good news regarding the pushback against this movement to throw the Duggars off their show 19 Kids and Counting. Many of you probably know what this show is all about. But for those who don't, I will explain what the controversy is. As time hopefully permits, I also want to delve into other things, mostly importantly this gay couple that has filed a complaint against their pastor for refusing to marry them. I'll stretch it out and squeeze as much in as I can in 45 minutes, starting today at 4:30 Eastern time, and archived afterward.
I will take you on a journey inside the life of Punk Rock-
