On this episode, we'll be talking to Dr. Chas Gant about the causes and solutions to addiction. Here are his initial thoughts to get us started...
"Over the years, various approaches to solving addictions have been tried with marginal success.
Historically, addiction was first thought to be a moral problem to be addressed by law enforcement. In the early 20th century, a psychological/psychoanalytic model was adopted, based on the poorly substantiated belief that addicts and alcoholics were simply medicating their emotional wounds.
Alcoholics Anonymous then emerged and achieved a modicum of success by promoting the 12-step philosophy, which bypasses immorality or psychological rationales as the cause, focusing instead on spirituality.
The psychopharmacological approach came next. It was based on the assumption that addiction is caused by a or Prozac deficiency in the brain. Substantial education and prevention efforts have also been made for decades.
For the most part, addictions are currently handled by some combination of these models, but with marginal success.
How can we do better? All of these approaches have made contributions, but none of them fully addresses the critical brain/body connection, so let’s explore the little known scientific facts about addiction.
The good news is, we now have the tools to break this hopeless cycle." Dr. Chas

As we settle into the cosmic shifts that have been taking place, this is the time to integrate them into all aspects of our lives - including business. Technology, coupled with transformational energies, have presented us with new ways of doing business. We will discuss one way, Social Entrepreneurship, that is generating wealth while making our world a better place to live.
MJ Anderson has been an outside-the-box thinker and global visionary for more than half a century. From starting one of the first Hospices in the US to running several successful enterprises, she is committed to sharing her vision and passion for bringing spiritual principles straight into the business arena.
BUSINESS IS PURPOSE; THAT HAS PRINCIPLES; THAT'S BASED ON A PROCESS; PROCEDURE THAT DEVELOPS A PRODUCT THAT LEADS TO
A PROFIT; THAT RESULTS IN PEACE.
But the process is more important than the purpose.
Mention the word process to any launch team, and you are likely to hear: “Who needs processes? Don’t we have enough to deal with already with trying to get this product out the door, and now we have to create and follow some convoluted, bureaucratic process? By the time we do all of that paperwork to figure out the process and follow the process, the launch could be done!”
Whether you are part of a large launch team or a lonely entrepreneur launching your first product, having a simple process will, believe it or not, save you time and sanity in the long run. By its nature, launching is chaotic. Often, people don’t know where to start. Do I do market research first? When do I write marketing materials? Do I wait until the product completes the final testing? It seems as if everything happens at once.

QOTD: It's been said that its sometimes hard to get blacks to support other black-owned businesses, do you agree?
Why do you suppose the support isn't as strong:
A) Expecting a discount?
B) Don't believe in the product or service?
C) Poor Marketing
Friend poaching??? Have you ever had someone to befriend you on social media just to reach out to your resources behind your back?
Wouldn't it be easier to ask your contact to introduce you or better yet...why not ask them if it's ok if you reach out to them?
What is the "proper social media etiquette?"
We're breaking it down TONIGHT!!
