Why do we Christians talk about callings? Is there a biblical basis for God's calling people to a particular task? First of all, God has a general call for all people and that is to salvation; God calls all people to Himself. Then all Christians have a call--to be a witness. But beyond that, some people are called by God into a particular service. Look, for example, at the way Paul begins nearly all the epistles. Paul was setapart; he had a particular call on his life. Join us as we discuss "Calling and Seperation" on the next episode of the Power Podcast Radio Talk show.

This week we are started a new series called The Fear Factor. Wead will spend the next few weeks journeying through the book of Jonah, and looking in greater detail, the cost of not pursuing the calling that God has on your life.
We must remember that God's purpose for us it for the benefit, and freedom, of others. The longer that we remain out of alignment with our divine assignments, the longer those people remain captive. God has given you specific territory, gifts, talents, and abilities, to do exactly what He called you to do. The question is, Will you let fear stop you?
The next few weeks, we will look at the by products of fear and also how to overcome fear. The Scripture we will reference this week is Jonah Chapter 1.

Millions of people struggle with abandonment issues. Parents and children alike rely upon that issue as an excuse for their own short comings, failures and mistakes. On the other hand, those who have abandoned those we love struggle with trying to figure out how to build a relationship without blaming themselves and others for their failures, mistakes and choices. Unfortunately, what we don't realize on both sides is this abandonment poses one of the most life changing questions of all time. Why am I here and What is all for? Tonight we will go deeper into the purpose, destiny and calling of those who struggle with abandonment.
Before I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and became a Christian, I would get together with a bunch of my friends and we would play cards, drink, swear, tell dirty jokes etc.
Now that I'm a Christian, I am not to be a part of this. How am I going to be a light if I partake of their sinful ways. However, That doesn't mean that we are to hide ourselves in a cave somewhere. We are in this world, we live and work amongst lost humanity but we are to be a light for Jesus to them.
2Corintians 6:14-16 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Cor 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them;
and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Cor 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the
Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
2Cor 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Tune in for this unforgettable conversation with musical performer Skye Dyer. The daughter of renowned bestselling author Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Skye will talk about her journey to share her music with the world, and will inspire us to find and pursue our true calling.
Skye says, “I have always loved to sing; at the age of 4 I asked my parents if I could take singing lessons. Lucky for me they said yes. I had a lot of energy as a kid and loved to be the center of attention. I used to move my sisters out of the way in home videos to make sure I was in the spotlight. I now watch those videos and cringe, but I realized I was training for my life as a performer. Music is everything to me. I have spent the last 12 years performing all over the globe at my own events and also at Hay House events for my dad, Dr. Wayne Dyer. I just released my new EP called Letting Go.”
