It's time for the Super Bowl! And that means game predicitions, prop bets and analysis leading up to the big game between the Broncos and the Panthers in San Fran. But before we do all of that we also have the Iowa caucus' to discuss, the NHL All Star Game, the Puppy Bowl and our conspiracy of the week. It's an extra long episode of the Sam Mines Sports Show so make ure not to miss it...or listen to it later, it doesn't really matter.
Can’t think of a better thing to do when hanging out in a super modern city like Seoul, South Korea then to go for a bike ride. It’s a great way to see another side of life here besides the typical tourist things like visiting temples, museums and going shopping plus it’s so up close to everyday life here.
I actually got my idea for this ride from the latest Lonely Planet Korea guide with a few modifications to the route. Let’s call them accidental modifications. I started out from Yeouido Park where you can rent bikes starting at 3000 won an hour, about $2.50 USD. Yeouido is considered the mecca for cycling in Seoul.
First stop was the Mapo Bridge where there is a designated cycle path making it safe and convenient to check out the views.
The Han River is the fourth longest river on the Korean Peninsula with a total length of almost 500km. This river was once a very large trade route with China through the Yellow Sea however due to estuary location at the borders of North and South Korea the river is no longer actively used for navigation.
An exit ramp from the other side of the bridge takes you to the north side of the river with great cycling paths. Keeping to the left on this path will continue your journey along the Han River. The destination for this cycle is the Seoul World Cup Stadium, built for the FIFA World Cup in 2002.
A great view of the beautiful domed National Assembly Building across the river. the legislative branch of the South Korean national government.
Keep riding along the path past this cliff and under the Yanghwa and Seongsan Bridges.

Fernando Wright inventor of the Table Top Butler and of TB Wright Group (also appeared in Who's Who African-American Profiles)
After a bad experience at a restaurant in 2007, Wright and his then-girlfriend were sat at a table that hadn’t been bussed. He thought to himself that there must be a way for restaurants to keep the tables cleaner between diners. A few nights later he woke up with the idea for the Table Butler, a multi-purpose organizing system that is currently available at Louisville-area Wal-Mart and online at www.tablebutler.com .
Most of Wright’s attention now is focused on the TB Wright Group, the company he founded to distribute the Table Butler. Ultimately, he would like his company to be a place where other people could bring their ideas for him to manufacture. “I try to work with as many black businesses as I can. I want to help young black kids get experience in manufacturing. I’d like to see more of kids being creative.

Constant epitomized what the game of football represents in the way he played the game. Marvin was a physical linebacker that could run sideline to sideline.
He was a strong linebacker that could bench well over 450 pounds back in his playing days and is best known for his goal line tackle in 1999 against LSU in Tuscaloosa. The tackle ended the game in Bryant-Denny Stadium to give the Crimson Tide the 23-17.
The tackle would cost Constant his atheltic career as he was injured on the play. However, being the competitor that Marvin was he perserveed and went to tackle the game of life.
He wrote a book called "A Man Who Bleeds Crimson". Marvin is a class act and shows that the game of football teahces more than just sports.
Is the hard soda craze just a fad or are the hard soda wars really upon us? These days you can't go into any liquor store without seeing a wide variety of hard root beers, ginger ales, and orange sodas sitting on the shelves. Is this is a sign of things to come? Or will they find themselves on the bottom shelf with the bottles of bum wine and Smirnoff ice beverages?
Things started HOT with the introduction of Not Your Fathers Root Beer in June of 2015 and has increased even more with the introduction of the Coney Island Hard Root Beer, Ginger Ale, and now Orange Cream. Not to be outdone by all this, some of the big players in the industry such as Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors have now entered the game as well with some offerings of their own.
Where will the insanity end? Will I finally get the Crystal Pepsi hard soda I have always dreamed of? I hope so!
What are your thoughts on the hard soda craze? Is it good or bad? Let the world know!
All that and MORE on this weeks episode! Want to be part of the show? The phone lines will be open and you are welcome to call in at 347-826-9598 to join the party. Cheers!
