This apparently is a growing disorder- has actually been around since before I was a teen-ager and is now recognized and being treated all over. With the Holidays upon us-The exorbitant amounts of food & alcohol being put in front of us all and the expectations our society puts upon us to be Thin and do it all and eat it all is not helping, so lets talk about it.......

It's Mother's Day and we are all grateful for our Mom's-so let's discuss what one can do that is at risk-or finds out they are at risk once they become pregnant- and just go over a few things that can help.
Medications Some women are prescribed insulin injections until delivery. If you are put on insulin, you may need to carry something sweet with you at all times. This helps you stay on track if you suddenly feel light-headed and weak, which are signs of low blood sugar. Low blood sugar is uncommon in gestational diabetes, but can occur in women taking insulin and can be dangerous
Your doctor may suggest you do light to moderate exercise in order to lose weight or to improve your blood circulation. This may depend on how well your pregnancy is progressing, and if you do not have any other underlying ailments preventing you from exercising.
