Talk Back Tuesdays: The Black Church Part 2

    in Self Help

It was so good we had to continue the conversation.

Has the Black Church Failed US?

We will continue our conversation on religion, spirituality, and faith. What is holding us back and how can we improve. We will discuss the manipulation and control that is used in the church, church code and how to decipher it, and the lack of focus on mental health, substance abuse, incarceration, and domestic violence in the community, the congregation, and the pulpit..

What are our expectations, experiences, and situations that allow and employ us to go back over and over again.
How many people worship their pastors instead of GOD? Do our churches focus more on Wealth than Health and Soul Saving? Are we representing anything different than we see in the WORLD?

We will also add discussions around the music/musicians, preacher/ reality tv stars, celebrity status, contribution, obligation, and/ or mandate to their parishioners, leadership team, and themselves.

We hope all of you will join us for this discussion of how the one pivotal force in our communities has now turned into a "joke" for many non believers and a "circus" for Christians and believers to gather and become monotonous.

    Come Get on the COUCH!!!!

Breaking the Chains........Selma 50th Celebration, The Struggle Continues

    in Motivation

    I have a dream...Celebrating Our 50 Years of Jubilee!

Our forefathers and mothers planted trees from which we gather fruit, and dug wells from which we quench our thirst. Civil Rights Activist marched for us, died for us and pleaded for our equality. So what are we leaving behind for our communities today? How will we strengthen our kids, famillies and our communities now?

Fifty years ago, Dr. King's "I Have a Dream..." Speech debuted in Detroit and transformed a nation. Now we Celebrate our 50th Year of Jubilee for the Selma March to Montgomery, and join in struggle to teaching us all to Evolve in our Beliefs, Values and Purpose for Elevating our Consciousness on the Greatness that lies within us - all of us!

Our ancesters from Africa knew the power of connection to the Divine, while honoring the human-ness in each other. I invite you to remember the greatness of our people, and let's have conversations that inspires us all to take action to "Heal what's hurting our Hearts and our Black Community" so we can again uplift all races. We all have contributions to give.

Today is March 4th, a day that commands action! I invite you to move the vision forward that occurred in Selma some 50 years ago, as those foot soldiers forced the world to see that Love is the most powerful force to change all things.  History was changed forever as the world watched a group of people dedicated in their hearts and spirit to see God's Light of Love shine in the world in the form of equality.

Today, I invite you share your piece of Heaven on Earth, so that your friends, family, community, city, state, nation and the world have no doubt that Love reigns powerfully.

So join the Movement to raise the Love Vibrations in 2015!!
    And as always......Be Amazing!

The Gettin It In Show: Black Supremacy vs. White Supremacy

    in Radio

Is there a such thing as Black Supremacy? Can a Black person be racist? Why do they make Black people feel guilty about unity with one another and showing some type of culture? What is White Supremacy and how are we displaying it within our people? White supremacy is a form of racism centered upon the belief, and promotion of the belief, that white people are superior to people of other racial backgrounds and that therefore whites should politically, economically and socially dominate non-whites. Why are Whites and Blacks always at war with one another? Are Blacks now becoming supremacist?

How Obama Has Failed the Black Community

    in Politics Conservative

Recall the euphoria that engulfed the African-American community back in 2008, when Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States.  Blacks came out for him in droves and voted for him at an astounding 96% level.  Times, they were a-changin', so to speak.  It was the dawning of a new era, as a large dose of hope and change was on its way to the county as a whole, and specifically to the African-American community.  Now, almost four years later, it's clear that Obama has done nothing to improve the way of life among blacks as a whole.  In fact, statistics show that life has actually regressed for African-Americans under Obama.
